This is the real-life impact of the World of Warcraft community.
Warcraft Cares, a player-run community, has partnered with Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft (WoW) team to host an in-game housing event! The Home Sweet Home: Community Block Party features up to 100 abodes, a judging panel of talented community members, and prizes galore. The event also helps out Feeding America, which is a non-profit organization.

Warcraft Cares x Home Sweet Home: Community Block Party
Warcraft Cares' Home Sweet Home: Community Block Party spotlights the new WoW player housing feature. The event, which goes from Dec. 16 to Dec. 17 between 4 p.m. PT and 7 p.m. PT each day, takes place in the Founder's Point and Razorwind Shores neighborhoods, allowing both Horde and Alliance players join the fun. Folks who wish to check out the different houses can also do via the event's livestream.
In total, the event aims to feature up to 100 houses split between Founder's Point and Razorwind Shore. The guest judges are Meggoart, Layria, Valeindia, Soft, Shojo_Aje, MissMarvel and Kaivax.
"The community will be invited to tour and celebrate inside the two event neighborhoods and every house that is selected will win a prize, but there is an absolutely massive list of prizes including apparel, a BlizzCon Ticket, ornaments, and way more," Dravvie of Warcraft Cares told esports.gg. "There's also going to be fan-voted prizes and other creators will be invited to pick their favorite homes as well!"
The prizes include both digital and physical items. Digital ones include epic editions of WoW: Midnight, game time, pets, and more. Meanwhile, physical items include a BlizzCon 2026 ticket, items signed by folks on the Blizzard Entertainment team, hats, sweaters, and even special Home Sweet Home mugs.

Warcraft Cares supports Feeding America charity
This event is for a good cause as well. Dravvie told esports.gg that the Home Sweet Home: Community Block Party benefits Feeding America. This non-profit organization's goal is in its name. Feeding America is part of a network of over 200 food banks and 60,000 meal programs across the US. The organization also works with lawmakers and other organizations to address food security.
This isn't Warcraft Cares' first WoW community event that's for a noble cause, either. Every year, Warcraft Cares does the Running of the Trolls event to support LGBTQIA+ community. There's also the Running of the Gnomes annual charity event that helps people in need of Breast Cancer treatment.

That's all for now. Stick around on esports.gg for more news and updates across the WoW community.
