Mandatory players win WoW MDI TGP Global Finals 2025
In addition to winning WoW MDI TGP 2025 Global Finals, Mandatory earned the bulk of the $200,000 USD prize pool. The team's journey to the top began in the Time Trials phase before becoming one of the top 16 teams. Then, after securing first place in WoW MDI TGP Group A, Mandatory advanced to the Global Finals.

Over three days, the top six teams raced through dungeons at top speed and pushed their skills to the limit. Eventually, Mandatory players achieved the best overall runs. WoW MDI caster Xyronic even created a great video breaking down some key moments, including Mandatory's +21 Ara-Kara record!

In the interview with the WoW esports casters, Stove also talked about the +21 Ara-Kara record, too. He said that even after a slow start on Day 1, the team locked in and pushed harder keys on Day 2. This secured them a crucial lead on the final day.
"So we basically were one point ahead already from yesterday," Stove said. "And then we just kept extending that lead today. Like, we knew we [were] in a really good position coming [in] today. And we were confident that we can blast the 21 quickly and get it on. And that's what we did."
Stove spoke about the team's morale on Day 1 as well, recalling that it was low after finishing in third place. However, he took it upon himself to inspire the team. He messaged everyone and reminded them that they can still turn things around. Thanks to this "#StoveDiff," Mandatory regrouped and came back stronger the next day.

Mandatory's journey to the top
Meanwhile, Skylarked talked about what it felt like to be challenged during the 2025 WoW MDI TGP Global Finals and overall circuit. He went into how every season brought in teams that made the WoW esports competition both exciting and challenging. He added that winning required lots of time, effort, and thought. Despite the tough competition, he said he’s proud that Mandatory claimed victory.
"It's so hard to win this competition," Skylarked said. "You have to put in so much effort, so much time, so much thought."
The tank player then shared his thoughts on the 22 Necrotic Wake run. He said that it was a well-rehearsed strategy and although the team's 21 script worked surprisingly well at 22, luck played a part in surviving some pulls. Skylarked also talked about the importance of consistency at the highest level via strict scripting, where every defensive and crowd control (CC) ability got executed the same way each time. Focused practice sessions also helped the team out as well.

As for parting words, Skylarked gave a shoutout to his team, Mandatory as an amazing sponsor, the viewers, supporters, and his girlfriend. Stove also gave a shoutout to his girlfriend, adding that it was her birthday. He called the victory a great birthday present.
That's all for now. Congratulations to Mandatory players for winning WoW MDI TGP Global Finals 2025! Stick around on esports.gg for more news and updates.
