In a bizarre turn of events in the VALORANT Game Changers scene, YFP announced a new roster, only to leave the scene just one day later.
The Your Favorite Player (YFP) Game Changers team has to be one of the most bizarre stories of the VALORANT scenario. In just 24 hours, the North American organization YFP Game Changers went from unveiling its roster for the 2026 season to announcing its departure from the competitive scene. So, what really happened with the YFP Game Changers team?
YFP Game Changers announces new roster
On March 10, YFP Game Changers unveiled their new roster for the upcoming season, featuring some popular names from the North American scene, including aluvily, formerly of FlyQuest Red, and Bob “Bob” Tran, who previously competed for Cloud9 and Blue Otter.
A few hours later, the team announced they would be leaving the Game Changers scenario. “We aim to do better by making the space better for everyone, and that includes everyone who works with us. Protecting those part of willing to support our organization to ensure they can operate in environments that they feel respected and supported by come first,” the organization wrote. “We are grateful for the support, experiences, and people we’ve met over the course of our stay in the Game Changers scene, but we will be parting ways at this moment until further notice.”
What happened with the team?
While the organization didn’t go further on their motives to leave the scenario, some players from the freshly announced roster commented on the issue. Wylie “k0rupt” Watts was one of the players to talk about what has been happening lately.
“I have to respect myself and my reputation enough to defend myself against baseless claims of both faking my gender identity and being a cheater,” the player wrote. “I am not faking being non-binary.” According to community comments, k0rupt was not the only player accused of faking their gender identity. CHAROD also faced similar accusations, though the player has not publicly commented on the claims so far.
Other teammates also came forward publicly to defend k0rupt, supporting the player and accusing people of making baseless claims in an attempt to damage their reputation. Later, the player’s ex also posted on X, asking people not to send hate toward the players and apologizing to everyone affected by her words.
Under the organization’s official statement, one community member accused the team of allowing “a handful of people who don’t even compete in GC complaining about nonbinary players” to push them out of the scene. Responding to the comment, YFP owner Neema “neema” Mahmoodi rejected that claim, stating:
No, but I’m not going to let people try to bring down the organization as a whole and harass employees and creators on our roster because of it.

The organization joined the Game Changers scenario in 2023. The team has also been known for publicly sharing its financial balance sheets, offering fans a transparent look at the costs and revenue involved in running a Game Changers roster. There is no information on whether the organization will ever be back in the scenario.
