VCT Masters Tokyo takes place in June and Riot Games has revealed the schedule and other information you need to know about the event.

The 2023 VALORANT Champions Tour has completely changed how competitive VALORANT operates. The new year introduced partnered teams and three International Leagues. Those leagues consist of 10 teams each, and after VCT LOCK//IN, their main focus shifts to VCT Masters Tokyo, scheduled for June.

The one and only Masters event for the year will have its teams determined through their respective leagues. The goal is to make the league playoffs. Then they will compete in that bracket to qualify for Masters Tokyo and Champions.

VCT Masters Tokyo 2023 schedule

The format was revealed earlier in the year. Twelves teams will participate, with three coming from each International League and two from China. EMEA then receives an additional slot at the event due to FNATIC winning VCT LOCK//IN.

The tournament is double-elimination, so every team will play a minimum of two matches in an event that is live from June 11 to June 25. The winning team receives an extra slot at VCT Champions 2023 for their region. Here's the VCT Masters Tokyo 2023 schedule so you know when it all takes place:

The VCT Masters Tokyo 2023 schedule noticeably has two days with no matches before the final rounds of the tournament. This is because Riot Games is taking that time to prepare a separate venue for the finale. That's right, two different venues in Tokyo will see competitive VALORANT action over the two week period:

  • Tipstar Dome Chiba (June 11-21)
  • Makuhari Messe (June 24-25)

Live attendance will be available throughout the entirety of the event. The shift to a second venue for the Lower Final and Grand Final will ensure that the year's only Masters tournament is allowed to be the spectacle it deserves to be.

How to get tickets for Masters Tokyo

If you're interested in attending VCT Masters Tokyo 2023 after seeing the schedule, tickets went on sale April 8. There are separate ticket links for those based in Japan and those who are purchasing tickets outside of Japan.

At this point, not many tickets remain, if any at all. The event is the first VALORANT one of its kind in Japan, thus the local fanbase was eager to see it in person. You may have to revert to buying resold tickets now, but do so at your own discretion.

How to watch from home

Not everyone can make it to Japan for VCT Masters Tokyo during the provided schedule. Thankfully, you can still enjoy the action from home like every other major VALORANT tournament. There are quite a few ways for you to watch.

The most readily available way to tune in is through the official VALORANT channels on Twitch and YouTube. As always, additional channels with varying languages and streamer watch parties will be live if you would like to catch any of those.
