VALORANT’s 4.1 update is clearly an April Fools’ Day joke, but they’re offering a new in-game Spray to those of you who fell for it.
VALORANT has joined in on the April Fools' Day pranking fun, with update 4.1. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that update number is the date of the beloved, and loathed, jokester holiday. And while the update might be completely fake, you can still get an in-game item that goes along with it.
VALORANT update 4.1 is, of course, a bunch of nonsense
Riot Games released a teaser video for VALORANT update 4.1 bright and early on April Fools' Day. Here is everything included in the fake update, that would actually be incredibly fun additions to the game even if just for the single day:
- Swapped some Agent abilities
- Chamber has Harbor's High Tide
- Neon has Skye's Guiding Light
- Deadlock has Gekko's Wingman
- Raze has Breach's Fault Line
- New eyewash stations added to VALORANT's maps to help you avoid flashes
- Deception Detection added
- Players will be muted for entire rounds if they lie about what happened, such as being killed while "full blind" when they most certainly weren't
The teaser ends by telling you to keep it to yourself if you dislike these changes. It is a wonderful April Fools' Day prank from VALORANT, which isn't all just for show. You can actually obtain a new Spray that correlates with the fake update.
