Champions of Champions is VALORANT’s fan contest that will select three winners across three categories, each representing their region.

Are you an artist who aims to represent your region? Champions of Champions will open their submissions soon, and you need to prepare your art. Meet all the steps and categories of this community event.

Champions of Champions contest

Riot Games wants to celebrate the VALORANT creative community with the Champions of Champions contest. "Whether you’re an artist, cosplayer, frag-reel editor, or all of the above, we want you to show us what you've got and submit your work for an opportunity to represent your region," they announced. There are three categories you can submit your work to: Fan Art, Cosplay, and Esports Edits.

The contest is open to participants from all regions except for Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Quebec, or any other region where this contest is void.

Categories

Show your VALORANT fan art that captures exactly how the clutch moments feel like in your own style. In some way, as a celebration of VALORANT Champions Paris, add the trophy in some way, shape, or form.

As for the esports edit, send Riot your best video using professional VCT gameplay from Global Events or International Leagues. Whether it's a compilation of your favorite player shots or a slow motion edit, or any insanely creative edit, it's valid for submission.

Finally, for the cosplay category, all you need to do is submit a photo of yourself in a VALORANT cosplay. You can also add some spice to the picture and edit it, as long as you and your cosplay are clearly visible and there is no use of AI.

VALORANT Champions of Champions timeline

The Champions of Champions contest runs from August 15 to October 5. Submissions will be open from August 15 to August 22. To participate, simply submit your work on the VALORANT FTW page, which will have a designated submission spot available closer to the submission period.

All the requirements and rules will be provided on that page. Then, you'll need to post your submission to a supported social media platform, but more details will come later this summer. Check out the general guidelines here.

Selection round

After submission week ends, a panel of Riot judges will choose their top 25 entries from each category and region to proceed to the voting rounds. The selection criteria include creativity, relevance to the theme, execution, and adherence to the guidelines. Any submissions that do not fully comply with the general or category guidelines will be disqualified from consideration for the voting rounds, regardless of their uniqueness.

Voting rounds

The competition will consist of three rounds. Contestants will advance based on a combination of community votes and evaluations from a Riot judging panel. While the criteria for judging remain the same, a portion of the selection process will now be determined by fan voting. The judges will ultimately decide who advances to the next round, while players can vote for their favorite submissions from each region.

Group Stage: September 12-22

  • The top 25 for each region will be featured on the Champions of Champions page to vote.
  • Players have until September 22 to vote for their five favorite submissions.

Playoffs: September 25-29

  • The top eight for each region will have moved on to the second round for the next round of voting.
  • Players have until September 29th to vote for their favorite submission.

Finals: October 3-4

  • The top entry for each region will advance to the final round of voting.
  • Players have until October 4th to vote for their favorite submission.

The winner of each category will be announced during the VALORANT Champions Paris Grand Finals on October 5th and will even have their work featured at Riot HQ.
