Riot Games brings a new Discord collaboration in the VALORANT patch notes 12.07, alongside quality-of-life updates and bug fixes.
The VALORANT patch notes 12.07 bring a wave of bug fixes, improvements to the settings interface, and a brand-new partnership with Discord.
Discord x VALORANT
VALORANT is partnering with Discord to “make getting into your next game with your friends easier.” You’ll now be able to link your accounts to unlock new social features. This collaboration will allow you to:
- Invite friends in Discord straight to your party from within VALORANT. This will avoid alt-tabbing and possible PC crashouts
- Copy a lobby link and share it directly on your server or anywhere your friends are, so they can easily join you for a match!
- See which of your Discord friends play VALORANT and jump into parties faster.
This feature will be tested as a beta in Brazil first and then expanded to the United States and Canada on April 21. On the VALORANT patch notes 12.08, it will exit beta and launch globally on April 29.

Back in 2024, Riot Games partnered with Discord to release Arcane-themed shop items alongside the launch of Season 2 of one of the world’s most popular animated series. They’ve also rolled out Discord Quests to promote various events and new season launches.
Settings screen interface updates
Riot Games is revamping some setting screens to improve functionality and visual clarity:
- Added parent-child association for related settings
- Added hover tooltips
- Settings previously under General – Other are broken into three sections: User Interface, Content Filtering, and Network
- Visual refresh
Since many players quickly adjust settings during matches, these updates shouldn’t jeopardize your experience or make it feel different. You will still be able to do it, but with more clarity and quality of life. None of these updates is intended to make your experience worse. Don’t forget to share your feedback if anything feels out of place.
Bug Fixes
For cosmetics, Riot Games has updated several scope reticles to make them more consistent in the center of the view with the base scope reticle. The skins are Kuronami Mashal, EX.O Outlaw, Nocturnum Mashal, Araxys Outlaw, and Operator.
Several additional bug fixes were also included in the VALORANT patch notes 12.07, which you can review on Riot Games’ official patch page.
