VALORANT 6.11 patch notes: Agent updates accompany Pearl changes

The VALORANT 6.11 patch notes inject life into Chamber once again and mixes up how you’ll have to approach B Site on Pearl.

The VALORANT 6.11 patch notes were first revealed in the game's Public Beta Environment. Everyone has been waiting for them to go live in the main game. Now is that time. And with the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes, you'll find a myriad of Agent updates, changes to Pearl, and more.

Important details from the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes

Buckle up, folks. You're in for quite the ride with these patch notes. This is one of the largest and most impactful updates in recent memory. Nerfs and buffs for both Agents and weapons highlight the slew of changes with patch 6.11.

A variety of Agent updates

The VALORANT 6.11 patch notes bring Chamber back to relevancy and tone Viper down just a tad. Here is everything to expect in regards to the former:

  • Reduced weapon equip time after Rendezvous post-teleport lockout from 0.7s to 0s
  • Increased Trademark disable range from 4000 to 5000
  • Trademark trap arm speed moved from 4s to 2s
  • Tour De Force firing rate increased by 15%

And here are the changes to Viper, meant to require more precision usage:

  • Reduced fuel regeneration from 5% per second to 3.3% per second
  • Regeneration to max fuel once empty goes from 20s to 30s

A new look for Pearl's B Site

The big cosmetic changes you'll find in the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes happen on Pearl. A Site has been left alone, but the B Site has received some significant renovations:

  • B Ramp screen made shorter and replaced with a jump up
  • B Ramp cubby removed
  • B Site screen extended, shortened, and given a stack of crates
  • B Hall given a cubby
  • B Site pillar widened

Weapon ammo and price adjustments

The Shorty has been the talk of the town with its domination across the VALORANT Champions Tour. Something so devastating at such a low cost was never going to stay untouched. It is getting a solid nerf, per the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes:

  • Reserve ammo reduced from 10 to 6
  • Price increased from $150 to $300
  • Damage at no fall-off adjusted from 12 to 11
  • Damage at 7 meters, its first step fall-off, adjusted from 8 to 6

The Frenzy is another popular sidearm in VALORANT, causing Riot Games to deliver the following changes to it long-range effectiveness:

  • Minimum spread increased from 0.45 to 0.65
  • Maximum spread reached in 5 bullets instead of 6
  • Maximum recoil reached in 5 bullets instead of 6, with total recoil lowered to compensate

Then comes the ammo adjustments to the two most important weapons in VALORANT:

  • Phantom reserve ammo reduced from 90 to 60
  • Vandal reserve ammo reduced from 75 to 50

Error Power and recoil changes in the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes

Last up in terms of major changes from the VALORANT 6.11 patch notes, we have alterations to recoil adjustments and Error Power. Let's start with the recoil, then explain the Error Power update:

  • Phantom vertical recoil multiplier while running adjusted from 1.5 to 1.8
  • Spectre vertical recoil multiplier while running adjusted from 1.5 to 1.8
  • Vandal vertical recoil multiplier while running adjusted from 1.5 to 1.8
  • Frenzy vertical recoil multiplier while running adjusted from 1.25 to 1.5

Those changes are designed to prevent incidental run-and-gun kills. That's also where Error Power comes into play. Error Power, per Riot Games, is a tool used to "reward accuracy by biasing shots toward the center of the crosshair."

The tool was unintentionally aiding shots fired while players are moving. It has been greatly reduced in certain movement states to create more random firing patterns. Run-and-gun play will still work in close range with the right weapons, but longer ranges should see less accurate running spray kills.
