Sentinels vs Karmine Corp - A match we've all been waiting for
Sentinels IGL johnqt has said it plenty of times. He wants to face Karmine Corp at Masters Madrid. Well, his wish has been granted. The Americas number one seed goes against the EMEA number one seed. And this comes off of them barely surviving the number two seed from the region.
Karmine Corp, on the other hand, had an easy go against FPX on Day 1. After sweeping FNATIC and then beating Team Heretics in the EMEA Kickoff Grand Final, they've got plenty of momentum on their side. Including a rabid fan base that they're sure to feed off of.
This could absolutely be the most-watched match of the Swiss Stage. Sentinels fans and Karmine Corp fans are many and mighty. No matter who comes out on top in this one, it's probably safe to say that we all win.

Sentinels vs Karmine Corp - Masters Madrid Swiss Stage recap
Keep on reading for a recap and clips that highlight the series.
Map 1: Split
Despite the quick turnaround time from their last series, Sentinels was locked in for the pistol round. The following then came flawlessly. Karmine Corp got on the board quickly, though, taking SEN's bonus. A failed retake by KC prevented any potential momentum. Then a big 3K from zekken kept SEN rolling.
The attacking strategy from Sentinels was incredible. KC did not have an answer for it until Round 7 of Split. A last-second push by SEN was shut down, giving KC their second. That gave them what they needed to get back into it. Instead of a huge disadvantage, sh1n made sure it was tied.
In the second half pistol, KC took their first lead of the map. As it usually goes, KC took the next with ease. They did not convert the bonus round, though, mirroring the first half. SEN tied it up right after. The economy was in their favor, allowing them to reach double digit rounds.
To get their 11th round, SEN's young Duelist, zekken, showed wild movement and confidence with an Operator, Shorty, and then a Phantom. Map point was theirs after a beautiful A Site retake. Ready to win the first map, SEN made quick work of KC in the final round to get ahead.
Map 2: Lotus
A slow and methodical pistol round went to SEN, as they looked to establish early dominance on Lotus. That is what they did, conceding just one round to KC within the first six. KC fought back, however, and a 3K by marteen brought them within two.
KC was unable to tie like they did on Split. Sentinels ensured they entered the second half with a lead. Utility and Ultimate usage gave them the advantage to push onto site, but KC did a good job preventing things from getting out of hand, keeping it close.
It was not long at all before Karmine Corp tied Lotus against Sentinels. At 7:7, their bonus round would determine how the rest of the second half unfolded. It went to Sentinels, giving them back the lead and the momentum. To hit double digits, TenZ held his ground to net a 3K.
The following round went to KC, though, as they were not going down without a fight in this one. A big play by Magnum was not enough to tie it then, but a massive clutch later by N4RRATE tied it at 11. The next was an unbelievable Thrifty round by SEN to reach series point, though, not letting KC get confident. And that's all she wrote, putting Americas over EMEA yet again in Madrid.
