Gen.G makes its long-awaited return to the Game Changers circuit in 2026, unveiling a new roster featuring former Ninetails and FENNEL Female standouts.

Back in 2021, Gen.G entered the Game Changers scene and remained active until officially disbanding in 2023. Three years later, the Korean organization has announced its return with a brand-new Korean “superteam,” featuring former Ninetails and FENNEL Female players.

Gen.G unveils new Game Changers roster

A few months ago, Gen.G opened tryouts for their new Game Changers roster. The team has officially been assembled and revealed to the public on April 3. This marks the return of the Korean organization to the Game Changers scene since 2023.

Jo “DaNa” Se-won personally announced her signing to the organization on X, along with two of her former Ninetails teammates and a duo from FENNEL Female. The full roster is:

  • Jo “DaNa” Se-won (former Ninetails)
  • Park “h4ste” Ju-hee (former Ninetails)
  • Park “332” Min-ju (former Ninetails)
  • Park “Yamzzi” Su-jin (former FENNEL Female)
  • Jeong “miNt” Ye-rim (former FENNEL Female)

There is still no official confirmation on the Gen.G GC coaching staff. The team will most likely participate in VCT 2026: Game Changers Korea Split 1, set to kick off on April 13. However, that information has yet to be confirmed by the organization.

Ninetails’ popularity

In 2025, Ninetails began to gain popularity following an impressive run in the Game Changers Korea splits, which led to their promotion to Game Changers Pacific. Since their foundation as a new organization, they scored 21 straight victories. Even though they ended up losing the GC Pacific Grand Finals to Xipto Esports GC, they managed to qualify for the Game Changers 2025 Championship in Seoul.

On their international debut, they didn’t reach far in the competition, ending in 7th-8th place. A few weeks later, the entire roster departed, leading many to believe the organization would no longer compete. However, in March 2026, Ninetails began announcing new signings.

In 2025, both Yamzzi and miNt secured two VCT 2025: Game Changers Japan Split titles, drawing attention with their performances in the Japanese circuit. The two Korean players have now returned home to compete for Gen.G Game Changers.

We look forward to seeing what the future holds for both organizations.
