G2 Gozen’s IGL juliano is leaving the team and VALORANT to make a return to CS:GO alongside old teammate zAAz.

Julia "juliano" Kiran is leaving G2 Gozen and VALORANT so she can return to CS:GO. She has a world championship title in both games. For the past two years, she has also been the in-game leader (IGL) for G2 Gozen, which is a Game Changers team participating in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

G2 Gozen won the inaugural international Game Changers Championship in 2022 without losing a series as well. The team pulled off the first reverse sweep in VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) history, coming back from being two maps down to winning the grand finals.

When VALORANT Game Changers was announced, XSET's CS:GO roster switched over to Riot's FPS title instead. The team, consisting then of Zainab "zAAz" Turkie, Julia "juliano" Kiran, Petra "Petra" Stoker, and Michaela "mimi" Lintrup, added Anja "aNNja" Vasalica and called themselves "THE ORIGINALS."

The roster made its debut appearance in Game Changers EMEA Series I 2021 and placed in the top four, getting signed by G2 shortly after under the moniker G2 Gozen. Throughout 2021, the players improved their results and eventually won Series III.

Ahead of the 2022 season, the roster went through some changes, with zAAz retiring. The roster also signed Maryam "Mary" Maher and Anastasia "Glance" Anisimova in place of zAAz and aNNja. The team won every single Game Changers EMEA event in 2022 except for a second-place finish in Series III. The players qualified for the Game Changers Championship in 2022, where they blazed through the competition and lost only three maps throughout their run. The players beat teams like Cloud9 White and Team Liquid Brazil.

G2 Gozen is now:

  • Maryam "Mary" Maher
  • Petra "Petra" Stoker
  • Michaela "mimi" Lintrup
  • Anastasia "Glance" Anisimova
  • Robertas "Carcass" Mikuckis (Coach)

Juliano isn't done competing though. Alongside zAAz, she is part of G2's new CS:GO team, G2 Oya. G2 has not yet announced juliano's replacement on the G2 Gozen Game Changers squad.
