MIBR is the first VCT Americas team to qualify for VALORANT Masters Toronto this June, marking their debut at a Masters event.

On April 26, MIBR made history by qualifying for their first-ever VALORANT Masters event. With a decisive victory over KRÜ Esports in the VCT Americas 2025: Stage 1, they secured their spot at Masters Toronto, marking a proud and historic moment for Brazilian esports.

MIBR qualify for Masters Toronto

MIBR has been delivering incredible performances in VCT Americas this year. After narrowly missing qualification for Masters Bangkok following a hard-fought loss to Sentinels, the team came back stronger than ever, bolstered by the addition of Andrew "Verno" Maust to the main roster. On April 26, MIBR needed just one more win against KRÜ Esports to secure their spot in the VALORANT Masters Toronto Play-In stage. They defeated the Argentinian team by 2-0.

MIBR achieved two peaceful victories. In their first match on Lotus, they defeated KRÜ Esports with a score of 13-8. Erick "aspas" Santos stood out with 20 kills. The second match was even more dominant, as they ended Icebox with a score of 13-5. This time, Arthur "artzin" Araujo shone by securing 19 kills. MIBR has officially qualified for VALORANT Masters Toronto, their first-ever participation in a Masters event.

Brazil's representation in VALORANT

In recent years, Brazil has been represented at international events by LOUD. The last occurrence of a Brazilian team competing internationally was in 2024, when LOUD qualified for the Masters in Madrid. However, they were unfortunately eliminated early in the competition. Since then, the team has faced a series of challenges. This year, LOUD has been going through a tough time, failing to qualify for the VCT Americas Playoffs, a significant setback for the organization.

The last time Brazil won an international title was in 2022, when they defeated OpTic Gaming 3-1 to secure the VALORANT Champions 2022 title in Istanbul, Turkey. Aspas was part of the roster, which included Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro (currently with Karmine Corp), Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi (who has since retired), Bryan "pANcada" Luna (from LOUD), and Felipe "Less" Basso (now with Team Heretics).

MIBR now has a chance to fight for another title in the VALORANT Masters Toronto. Will they be able to take home a new title? We will have to wait and see. The tournament starts on June 7 and ends on June 22 in Toronto, Canada.
