Electric Clash 2024 enters Humber College
This TEKKEN 8 esports tournament will kick off on April 20 at Humber College's North Campus located at 205 Humber College Blvd, Etobicoke, ON M9W 5L7, Canada. Players will duke it out throughout the day within Humber College's IGNITE Student Centre. A prize pool of $2,000 USD will be on the line alongside points for the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 global leaderboard.
"By hosting this event, we are enhancing the esports scene at Humber while providing our students with invaluable hands-on experience, networking opportunities, and exposure to potential career paths in the esports industry," Humber esports program leader Bernard Mafei said in a press release. "This partnership will enrich our students' educational journey and prepare them for the exciting opportunities ahead."

Doors to the event will open on April 20 at 11 a.m EDT. Then, the preliminary rounds will kick off at 12 p.m. EDT to determine the top 24 TEKKEN 8 players. After more matches, eight players will fight for the most global leaderboard points. According to Bandai Namco Entertainment, only 20 players from the global leaderboard plus the #1 ranked player from each region will eventually qualify for TEKKEN World Tour Finals 2024.
Where to watch and what to expect
Electric Clash 2024 will be an in-person event. However, fans and supporters will be able to catch all of the esports action from home through Twitch.
In terms of what to expect in the TEKKEN World Tour 2024 Challenger event, players will compete under TEKKEN patch 1.03.02. This means Eddy Gordo will be playable in the tournament. Participants will also duke it out on the PlayStation 5, according to the event's start.gg page.
