Google’s phones will arrive before Apple’s this year.

As we head into August, we’re closing in on that time of the year when the Major Phone manufacturers will start releasing their latest flagships. Google has a solid lineup this year with several rumors of a Pixel Fold also in the works. Here’s all we know about the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro including their release dates, potential features, specifications and more.

When will Google Pixel 9 and 9 Pro release?

Google’x Pixel Phones are expected to release much earlier than usual this year at the Mady By Google event in August.  The Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are expected to release on August 13, 2024. Google will also be releasing the Pixel 9 Pro Fold and this will be Google’s first foldable phone. Several phone manufacturers including Samsung and OnePlus have already released their foldable phones to varying levels of success.

This change in timeline will move Google up and it’s phones will release before Apple’s September launch. Google’s Phones usually offer a solid experience with an excellent camera and software. With high-end specifications at a usually affordable price compared to peers, Google’s flagship phones are great for the stock Android experience. 

What can you expect from this year’s Google Pixel Phones?

The Pixel Lineup offers the stock Android experience and has a big fan following. Over the past few years, Pixel Phones has also made a name for themselves with its superior image processing capabilities. The Pixel phones are usually top-end specs with a much cheaper price tag compared to some of the other flagships. 

With the addition of Gemini AI Google also wants to offer users of its premium Smartphones additional features and ease of living. Google’s video shows a metal back and a new improved camera bar on the Pixel. There are some reports that three different sizes will launch on August 13. If that is the case, it would mean a larger specification phone with a smaller form factor, something that will definitely appeal to a large section of the tech community. 

The Pixel phones are usually the first phones to see the new Android versions. They will also, almost certainly, feature the new Tensor chips. The Tensor Chips are custom-built by Google, and they have an optimum performance on Pixel phones.
