Two qualification spots were available at the Street Fighter 6 tournament at Asian Champions League 2025. Tokido came here to prove: he is on the top, again.
Around a week ago, Knee won a TEKKEN 8 tournament at Evo Japan 2025. He started a conversation in the fighting games community (FGC) about the irrelevance of the esports age standards. Yep, you can win huge events in your 40s.
Tokido has added another strong point to support this opinion — even if Murderface doesn’t seem to care too much. The legend wasn’t really out of Street Fighter 6 esports.
The victory at the SF6 Asian Champions League 2025 is just brilliant! It was one of the biggest Esports World Cup 2025 qualifiers. Participants had a lot to fight for, but not actually Tokido. He is already in the SF6 EWC 2025 thanks to his performance at the Capcom Cup 11. But why not show everyone who’s boss?
Street Fighter 6 Asian Champions League 2025
Some of the biggest SF6 players in the world attended the Asian Champions League 2025. Two qualification spots at the Esports World Cup 2025 are quite a motivation!
MenaRD was here. After winning Street Fighter 6 Evo Japan 2025, he played Blanka again but lost to A.K.I. of Hikaru in the upper brackets. Then MenaRD switched to M. Bison, but was eliminated by Guile of Caba, another player from the Dominican Republic.
Tokido defeated Leshar in the pools, one of his new Reject teammates. Then he literally destroyed Rainpro in the semi and Moke in the winners final.
The grand final was much more intense. Higuchi, who eliminated Daigo earlier, reset the brackets and looked super strong with the Sonic Boom pressure by Guile. Tokido recovered in time to win the tournament!
The SF6 Asian Champions League 2025 demonstrated the current power of a few characters. Guile was all over the place. Tokido played this guy twice in the top 8 brackets. Moke reached the top 3 with his Mai, so the FATAL FURY girl is pretty relevant at the highest level of Street Fighter.
Tokido was on the current main, Ken. His winners quarterfinal was against another Ken player, Armperor. You already know who won this battle!
