Right after the Elena update and in the face of Season 3: Street Fighter 6 (SF6) is changing, but the top-level esports competition doesn’t stop.

The winner of the Street Fighter 6 tournament at CEO 2025 advances directly to the Capcom Cup 12. We have a Premier-tier Capcom Pro Tour qualifier at this fighting games esports event. Such a prospect naturally attracts the best players from all over the world to travel to Orlando, Florida — to try and battle it to the top.

The Elena update brought big changes for the entire SF6 roster. Soon after that, the Year 3 Character lineup was revealed, and we obviously expect even more battle balance adjustments with it.

In between big patches, Street Fighter 6 esports is especially exciting! We can witness the adaptation level from pro players and check out the first showcase of the current competitive tier list.

Also, SF6 CEO 2025 is an Esports World Cup 2025 qualifier. Lots of top players are already on the list of participants, so even lower placements can bring a qualification spot.

After the Elena update, Leshar changed his main character — for the most top 8 matches. He played Mai Shiranui up to the Grand Final.

Only after the bracket reset did Leshar take Ed, the character who brought him victory at SF6 Combo Breaker 2025. That did not work, and Leshar switched to another FATAL FURY character, Terry, for the win.

Leshar is the Street Fighter 6 CEO 2025 Champion!

"CEO won! I was the first CEO and I really wanted to get in the ring, so I'm happy to have won! I came here to gain experience because I'm nervous offline, but it was a good memory! I still have some regrets about playing offline, so I want to work harder and do better! It was an honor to be able to play the finals with NL."

SF6 characters at CEO 2025: Overview

In general, we could see a relatively similar situation with the SF6 character meta in the final brackets. After the buffs, Ryu is not dominating the scene: Craime won one match with this legacy Shoto, and Punk experimented with Ryu in the Losers Final.

Dee Jay made it to the final matches quite unexpectedly. He and M. Bison carried each other, so Zhen reached the top 4 with these characters.

Punk was mainly on Cammy throughout the SF6 CEO 2025 tournament. Earlier this year, he won LVL UP EXPO 2025 with her and Terry.

NL proved once again that in the right hands, the glass cannon Akuma is an amazing fighter. The player reached the top 2 at SF6 CEO 2025 and qualified for Capcom Cup 12.

SF6 CEO 2025: A Premier Capcom Pro Tour 2025 event

In addition to the CPT 2025 standing points distribution, the Street Fighter 6 CEO 2025 tournament rewards the winner with a direct invite to Capcom Cup 12.

Only a few people have already qualified for this official SF6 esports event.

The winner of Capcom Cup 11, Kakeru, automatically advanced to the next such tournament. The same goes for the team Good 8 Squad, who won SFL World Championship 2024: gachikun, Kawano, pugera, and YHC-Mochi.

Street Fighter 6 Esports World Cup 2025 qualifier

Quite a few SF6 players have already won their EWC 2025 spots, including Xiaohai, the EWC 2024 Champion, 11 players from the Street Fighter League World Championship 2025, and nine participants of Capcom Cup 11.

In addition to these, some spots were earned in the current competitive season.

  • EVO Japan 2025 — MenaRD and Ryukichi
  • Asian Champions League 2025Higuchi and Moke
  • Brussels Challenge Major Edition 2025 — Bonchan
  • Combo Breaker 2025 Itabashi Zangief and Dual Kevin
  • Battle Arena Melbourne 15 — NARIKUN

CEO 2025 has two qualification spots for the Street Fighter 6 Esports World Cup 2025.

After this tournament, we have a CPT 2025 Premier event at Blink Respawn 2025, from July 18 to July 20. It happens in the Dominican Republic, so MenaRD will have to be a welcoming host. It’s also an EWC 2025 qualifier.
