Kick announces chess Grandmaster and Twitch streamer Hikaru Nakamura as their newest streamer.
In the first announcement of many to come, Kick reveals chess Grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura to join the talent lineup on the new streaming platform. Nakamura gave a hint about his new venture when he tweeted a big announcement coming soon on his Twitch channel. It seems like Kick can't wait to share the big signing when they announce Nakamura to be joining their platform.
Hikaru Nakamura was a chess prodigy, earning his grandmaster title at the age of fifteen. He is currently in the top five chess players in the world, among prestigious grandmasters like Magnus Carlsen and Ian Nepomniachtchi.
Nakamura has been streaming on Twitch since 2018, playing against other grandmasters and sharing his gameplays and insights. He currently has 1.8 million followers on Twitch. With Nakamura joining Kick, he stated he will now going to be streaming on both platforms moving forward.

Nakamura's signing is apparently the first out of six more huge signings to come. Trainwreck, the popular streamer behind Kick, has previously hinted at big announcements to come regarding Kick. A lot of people are expecting big names like Kai Cenat and Dr. Disrespect to be among the new faces on Kick.
The new streaming platform has been the talk of the streaming community since it was first announced in December 2022. Trainwreck marketed Kick as a better streaming platform compared to the Amazon-owned streaming platform, Twitch. Kick claims to offer better financial security for their streamers and a more transparent Terms of Services (TOS).
