David Baszucki raises the stakes with a massive cash prize for the best Roblox token collector of 2025.

After a series of cryptic posts on his X account, Roblox founder and CEO David Baszucki revealed a whopping $1 million prize for the upcoming event on the popular gaming platform, The Hunt: Mega Edition.

Last February, David started posting weird phrases on X, such as “ivory pet hen but hate? skier to," "It’s not just about what you know, but what you’re willing to lose,” and then another post containing nothing but a set of goat emojis. David eventually deleted these posts, only for the Roblox community to speculate about their possible meanings and connection to a big event.

Finally, David posted again on March 5, 2025, and this time, his message is quite clear and easier to understand:

The word “Mega” refers to the Roblox event called The Hunt: Mega Edition, which is the 2025 version of last year’s The Hunt: First Edition.

The mechanics of the event are simple: collect tokens by completing quests from 25 Roblox experiences. These tokens can be used to unlock items in The Hunt: Mega Edition’s hub.

The top 10 players of The Hunt will be invited to take part in an even bigger event, The Hunt: Mega Final, to be held right at the Roblox HQ. The final showdown among the best token hunters will be broadcasted via livestream, and the winner will take home the cash prize of $1 million.

When will The Hunt: Mega Edition start?

The Hunt: Mega Edition will begin on March 13, 2025, and run until March 24, 2025. To give the top 10 players time to prepare and travel, The Hunt: Mega Final will commence on April 4, 2025.

For those who are interested in participating in The Hunt, wait for the event hub to appear on your Roblox app on the official launch date, where you’ll find more details, including the event’s terms and conditions.
