Pokémon Winds and Waves is not set to release until 2027, but some fans have discovered some massive leaks regarding the two titles.
People have been scouring the internet for leaks regarding the Gen 10 Pokémon games, Pokémon Winds and Waves. While the games do not release until 2027, Nintendo has already given fans a showcase of the titles, leaving people with quite a few questions. Well, it would seem like one of those questions has been (slightly) answered, and that is the identity of the two main Legendary Pokémon that will be featured in the game.
Leak regarding Legendaries in Pokémon Winds & Waves surfaces online
One of the Pokémon franchise’s biggest appeals is its Legendary Pokémon, which it includes in games (and cards). Legendaries are Pokémon that only occur once in each game, making them extremely rare. A Legendary Pokémon can sort of be looked at as a God, with many of them playing a part in shaping the universe of Pokémon.
Every title has a featured Legendary that plays a massive part in the plot and is eventually catchable later on in the game. These Legendary Pokémon are always featured on the game’s cover, making them a staple within each Pokémon title.
Well, while we have not had anything revealed to us by Nintendo, it would seem that a leak has surfaced regarding the Legendaries in Pokémon Winds and Waves.
Here is what we know.
Legendaries based on Southeast Asian mythology
The leak presents players with two different Legendary Pokémon that derive from Southeast Asian Mythology. For Pokémon Winds, leaks suggest a Legendary Pokémon based on the Garuda, which is a majestic eagle-like creature, while Pokémon Waves is rumored to have its Legendary be based on the Naga, a powerful serpent.
So, basically a Ho-oh and a Gyarados.
While this rumor has not been confirmed by Nintendo, it was posted by popular leaker, Light, on Twitter, who is well known for his accuracy when it comes to leaks within the Pokémon franchise.
