The next Pokémon GO Community Day will feature Bounsweet. This will provide Pokémon GO Trainers a chance to grab a Shiny Bounsweet and get a Tsareena with exclusive move, High Jump Kick.
Bounsweet Community Day takes place Sunday, May 19 from 1400-1700 local time.
This might not be the most hyped Pokémon GO Community Day of all time. However, with the Egg Hatch Distance bonus, you can farm a lot of Stardust if you stack 12k and 10k Eggs in advance. So, regardless of the featured 'Mon this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.
Bounsweet Pokémon GO Community Day bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect for trainers during Bounsweet Community Day in Pokémon GO.
- 1/4 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during the event
- 2x Candy For catching Pokémon
- 2x chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for 3 hours
- Be on the lookout for Showcases at different PokéStops during Bounsweet Community Day
- Take a few Snapshots during Community Day for a surprise!
- One additional special trade (for a maximum of 2)*
- Trades cost 50% less Stardust*
*These bonuses are active until 10pm local time.
There will also be a $1 Research Ticket, Showcases and special item-bundles in the Pokémon GO Store.
Featured Pokémon: Bounsweet
During the event times, Bounsweet will be appearing much more frequently in the wild. You'll also have a increased chance of catching a Shiny Bounsweet.
There will also be a featured move for evolving Bounsweet. Any Steenee evolved into Tsareena during Bounsweet Pokémon GO Community Day will learn High Jump Kick, a Fighting-type move. If you have any Tsareena already, the only way they can learn this move is through an Elite TM.

Tsareena Best Pokémon GO Moveset
Bounsweet Community Day will add High Jump Kick as a Fast Attack for Tsareena. This move is a new typing for Tsareena, with it having no Fighting-type moves yet.
However, Tsareena isn't the best Pokémon in the Grass-type category and isn't a Fighting-type. It is yet to be seen just how impactful this move will be.
The best moveset for Tsareena is:
- Magical Leaf
- Grass Knot
- Triple Axel
Bounsweet Community Day: Pokémon GO Tips and Tricks
Now, Bounsweet might not be the most exciting Pokémon for a Community Day in GO history, but there are always good Pokémon GO Community Day bonuses.
1/4 Egg Hatch Distance is great if you have 12km (or even 10km) Eggs ready. A fully stacked Egg Box, with a Star Piece can yield you well over 100k Stardust. Add on the Stardust from all the Bounsweet you will catch during that half hour and you're sitting pretty.
We also have extra Candy and Candy XL for catching Pokémon during this event. But, you can boost that up even further by using a Grass-type Mega Level 3 Mega Pokémon.
Here are the Pokémon you can Mega Evolve to get extra Candy, Candy XL and XP for catching Bounsweet:
- Groudon
- Venusaur
- Sceptile
- Abomasnow
Don't forget some other easy tips:
- Don't catch Pokémon before the event starts. These Pokémon can turn into Bounsweet.
- Spin as many Pokéstops as possible, to get event specific Field Research as well as extra resources.
- Don't activate Lures' or Incense till the event starts to get the extra time.
