Pokémon TCG Pocket players will enjoy some more Generation 9 cards with the scheduled release of a new set.

Amid rumors of an upcoming Generation 10 announcement, Pokémon TCG Pocket puts Paldean Pokémon back in the spotlight with the Paldean Wonders set, introducing Generation 9 cards into the game.

In an official trailer video recently posted on Pokémon’s official social media pages, Paldean Wonders revealed multiple cards featuring all the starters in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Some of the cards even have illustrations that are also present in the physical Pokémon TCG, specifically in the sets under the Scarlet and Violet era.

Everything you need to know:

Given that the set centers on Paldean Pokémon, it’s no surprise that its headline cards feature the three Generation 9 starters: Fuecoco, Sprigatito, and Quaxly.

So far, only Sprigatito’s final evolution has been revealed, with Meowscarada ex confirmed as part of the lineup. With that in mind, it’s reasonable to expect Skeledirge ex and Quaquaval ex to join the set as well.

Other cards that are present in Paldean Wonders are the Basic cards featuring Pawmi, Smoliv, Fidough, Wooper, Tinkatink, Klawf, and Ceruledge.

Looking at Ceruledge’s card, it only needs one turn to evolve, and its move Fighting Sword positions it as an excellent low-risk counter to Pokémon ex, similar to Pom-Pom Oricorio and Silvally.

The trailer also highlights a couple of Stage 1 cards, including Gholdengo ex and Maushold. Gholdengo ex looks poised to become a strong addition to Metal-type decks, especially when paired with cards that help it generate more Metal Energy. Meanwhile, Maushold stands out as the first revealed card in the set to feature a full-art illustration.

As for the Trainer lineup, the set includes Mesagoza, Nemona, and Arven. Their artwork is identical to their physical counterparts from the tabletop Pokémon TCG, specifically the Scarlet and Violet Base Set and Paldean Fates.
