Overwatch 2 is known for its rich lore and story just as much as the gameplay itself. In fact, the dynamic heroes and their extensive backgrounds may be what has really helped build the Overwatch community all these years.

One thing that fans have commended Blizzard for is the very diverse Overwatch 2 roster. The heroes come from a wide variety of backgrounds, countries, and cultures. The heroes also range heavily in age. While it's quite common to see young adults take the spotlight in most video games, Overwatch 2 has one of the most expansive age ranges in a popular shooter.

Interestingly enough, the youngest hero is not D.Va. It's Orisa. The robot was built by a child genis named Efi to defend Numbani. When she joined the roster, Orisa was just one month old. This is quite shocking since Orisa is very mature and powerful. She is currently one of the most powerful heroes in the game despite being less than a year old.

The oldest hero in Overwatch 2 is Sigma, if we go by heroes with known ages. He is 62 years old. During his life, Sigma became an iconic astrophysicist but a failed experiment altered his mind. While he was able to control gravity, he also felt that he was losing touch with reality. Still, Sigma is full of knowledge and wisdom, making him a well-respected hero on the roster.

Echo's age is listed as classified on Blizzard's official site but there are some hints that could let fans know her approximate age. The robot was originally designed by Dr. Mina Liao for use during combat missions with Overwatch. She was created after Overwatch was formed, meaning she can only be 29 years old at most.

Figuring out Mei's age is a bit confusing. In her backstory, she was cryogenically frozen when a violent storm threatened her and her colleagues while stationed at Ecopoint: Antarctica. She ended up frozen for nine years. Her biological age is 31 but she is numerically 40 years old if you count the nine years she spent frozen.
