“Doing what you think is right can be complicated.”
Overwatch 2 just revealed a brand-new Sojourn cinematic! The animated short, titled "Calling," features some Sojourn lore, what she's been up to, and more. Read on for details!
Overwatch 2 Sojourn cinematic
The Overwatch 2 Calling cinematic for Sojourn begins with her ordering two cups of coffee at a stand. Since Sojourn resides in Toronto, the design of these cups references the Tim Hortons brand in Canada. After she returns home alongside her dog, Murphy, a Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) agent rings Sojourn's doorbell and enters her living room. CSIS is similar to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the states.
After greeting Murphy, agent Noah Tremblay confirms Sojourn's identity and talks about Winston's recall of Overwatch members. Sojourn says that she didn't respond to Winston, but the agent is doubtful. He asks if she's been complying with the Petras Act. This act prohibits Overwatch activities.

The CSIS agent then questions Sojourn about a recent omnic insurgency, recalling how his unit encountered activities related to Null Sector last night. Someone saved him and his CSIS unit. Tremblay implies that it's Sojourn and asks for her last evening's whereabouts. Sojourn denies her involvement, but the agent shows her a bullet from her Overwatch railgun.
Sojourn then recalls her Overwatch days, why she testified at the Petras hearings, and tells Tremblay to do what he thinks is right.
"Doing what you think is right can be complicated," she says. "The Overwatch I joined was about raising the world up, making it a better place. But by the end, we lost sight of our mission. I don't regret what I did, but it was the hardest decision I've ever made."
Just as Tremblay takes out a pair of handcuffs, a commotion happens outside: Null Sector airships have arrived in Toronto. Last night's raid and the omnic insurgency are all connected. Sojourn shuts her windows and begins her mission to evacuate civilians and save her city.
That's all for now. Are you excited for more Null Sector action? Overwatch 2 Invasion arrives on Aug. 10.
