The Overwatch 2 Invasion Story Missions arrive on Aug. 10, but Null Sector ships are already invading the game.
Null Sector ships have been spotted in Overwatch 2 ahead of the PvE Invasion Story Missions that will arrive on Aug. 10. Here are the details.
Null Sector ships spotted in Overwatch 2
Ships from Null Sector have appeared in some Overwatch 2 maps. When players enter a match in one of these maps, they may see ships hovering in the sky. Their ominous presence can be spotted in New Queen Street, King's Row, Null Sector, Colosseo, Midtown, and Paraiso.
The appearance of these ships teases the upcoming Overwatch 2 Invasion Story Missions. According to Blizzard, there will be three PvE missions available for players. These missions will take place in Toronto, Rio de Janeiro, and Gothenburg.
Overwatch 2 PvE Invasion Story Missions
For fans of lore and hero interactions, there will be past allies and new faces who will work together in the fight against Null Sector, according to Overwatch 2 art director Dion Rogers. Taking place shortly after Winston's recall of Overwatch agents, these PvE missions will move the story forward.
“Lucio hasn’t met Reinhardt yet,” Rogers said during a livestream. “So you’re going to learn exactly how these characters meet each other, what they’ve been up to before this invasion happened.”
The fight against Null Sector will begin on Aug. 10. Access to these Story Missions requires the Overwatch 2: Invasion Bundle, according to Blizzard. Players will have the option to get the Overwatch 2: Ultimate Invasion Bundle as well, which includes everything in the base bundle plus Battle Pass tier skips, additional Overwatch Coins, and legendary skins.
