Here is the countdown for Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness. Launching Oct. 10, the upcoming season will feature Halloween-themed shenanigans. Blizzard's teaser for Rise of Darkness showcased spooky versions of a few maps, the appearance of zombie-like omnics, and a Diablo 4 Lilith skin for Moira.

When does Overwatch 2 Season 7 release?

Rise of Darkness will be released on Oct. 10. Blizzard confirmed this in a social media post that included a video teaser. Fans who are subscribed to the official Overwatch 2 YouTube channel also received a notification about the full Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness trailer.

The YouTube channel revealed that the Overwatch 2 Season 7 trailer will drop on Oct. 4. Additionally, the video description stated that the season itself will arrive on Oct. 10.

What to expect in Overwatch 2 Season 7: Rise of Darkness

Earlier this year, Blizzard released an Overwatch 2 roadmap. Both Season 5 and Season 6 successfully delivered on the planned content. The roadmap also revealed what to expect in Season 7 and beyond.
