Overwatch 2 just revealed a brand-new trailer for the "Calling" animated short! The video goes into Sojourn's involvement with Overwatch's end and features her adorable dog. Read on for details!
Overwatch 2 Sojourn animated short recap
The teaser for Sojourn's animated short begins with an interrogation and the confirmation of Sojourn's identity. The character questioning Sojourn refers to her real name, which is Vivian Chase. He asks if she's a former Overwatch captain and if she's been in compliance with the Petras Act.
This act, enacted by the United Nations (UN) and the International Justice Commission (IJC), means Overwatch activities are illegal. When Sojourn shared her experience with Overwatch in the past, her testimony helped pass the Petras Act.
Overwatch 2's animated short teaser then shows a fight scene featuring a hooded omnic figure, other omnics, and a member of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS). This CSIS member is the same character who is interrogating Sojourn.
When the interrogator asks for Sojourn's whereabouts that night, the latter says that she was at home with her dog – Murphy. The video, however, shows otherwise before ending with Murphy trying to eat a croissant.

The entire video for the Overwatch 2 Calling animated short will go live on Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. PT. Players will be able to jump into the game to see it in full.
