How to unlock Kiriko for free in Overwatch 2

Here’s how to get Kiriko before and after Overwatch 2 Season 2 hits.

Overwatch 2 has a bunch of new heroes in its roster, and Kiriko is among Junker Queen, Sojourn and Ramattra. Here's a quick guide on how to unlock Kiriko for free in Overwatch 2.

How to unlock Kiriko for free

If you happen to miss out on getting Kiriko in the first season, then you're not out of luck. This is because players can unlock Kiriko via the Challenge for her starting in Overwatch 2 Season 2. The release date for Overwatch 2 Season 2 is Dec. 6.

Kiriko is also free for players who already own a copy of the first Overwatch game via the Founder’s Pack. Simply log in to Overwatch 2 before the end of Season 2 and redeem it.

Another way to get Kiriko is through the basic Season 1 Battle Pass. Kiriko is located in tier 55, so level up your basic Battle Pass to unlock her. Gain levels by completing Challenges in Overwatch 2.

Another way to get Kiriko

To get Kiriko right away, you'll have to buy the Season 1 Premium Battle Pass for Overwatch 2. However, this version of the Battle Pass isn't free. It costs 1,000 Overwatch Coins. There's another Premium Battle Pass available for Season 1, and that includes 20 more tiers for 2,200 Overwatch Coins.

Ramattra, a tank hero, also requires purchasing the Season 2 version of the Overwatch 2 Premium Battle Pass to unlock him immediately. Otherwise, you'll have to grind up to tier 55 to get him for free.

How much does the Overwatch 2 Battle Pass cost?

The basic Battle Pass in Overwatch 2 is free. It's the Premium Battle Pass that requires spending money. The premium version can be purchased using Overwatch Coins via the Battle.net store. The cost depends on where you live due to exchange rates.
