Overwatch 2 introduced a magical skin line and an enchanting story featuring the Heroes of Heart.

In the new DokiWatch comic universe, the Heroes of Heart are on a quest to defeat the sinister Hollow Hearts. However, as the odds become increasingly stacked against them, their journey becomes more challenging. Can they rescue their lost friends, or is it time to find a new champion to lead the fight?

DokiWatch comic: Looking for a new hero

The comic begins with the Heroes of Heart regrouping at Château Guillard — Widowmaker’s ancestral home and an Overwatch map. As Kiriko and Brigitte work to restore a powerful new weapon with Magitech, Freja hunts for signs of their enemies. Widowmaker warns that the Hollow Hearts are already disrupting their efforts, knowing the team is weakened by the loss of Hana and Angela. They’re also aware that the girls are searching for a new hero to help them stand against the Woe.

Who is Juno in the DokiWatch comic?

They ended up finding the girl, but the enemy did as well. They must now leave the headquarters and save her from the worst. Later, at Lijiang Tower, we see Juno struggling to finish some tasks before going to the restaurant with her mother. Juno is portrayed as a hardworking and thoughtful girl, always trying to help everyone at her workplace. However, when she returns to her mother's side, she discovers that her mother has passed out. When Juno tries to wake her up, we meet D.Va, who reveals that she poisoned everyone with Woe. She presents herself as Nocturna from the Hollow Hearts. Nocturna is also the name of her skin in Overwatch 2.

Saved by the girls

Just as Nocturna was on the verge of capturing Juno, the Heroes of the Heart arrived to rescue her. As the saying goes, she was saved by the bell. After defeating Nocturna temporarily, the girls began the process of cleansing Juno's mother to free her from the poison. Without much explanation, they handed a weapon to Juno and quickly left the area. Nocturna was not going to let them escape easily, but to defeat her, Juno needed to unlock her true power, a secret she still did not understand. All she needed to do was close her eyes, open her heart, and unleash her true power with the help of the Magitech weapon.

Juno's true power in the DokiWatch comic

Just like a Winx transformation, Juno embraced her true calling and became a Hero of the Heart. However, just as they were about to finish with Nocturna, Brigitte attempted to reach Nocturna’s heart to bring her back to headquarters. It is at this moment that we discover Nocturna is actually Hana. However, Hana had other plans that did not involve returning to the Heroes of Heart.

Nocturna flies away in the arms of Lifeweaver, another character from Overwatch 2 who is not included in the initial DokiWatch skins lineup. This might indicate that Lifeweaver will receive a new skin in this universe soon. Afterward, everyone introduces themselves to Juno and invites her to join the Heroes of Heart as the new Heart of Hope, just like the title of the comic. Now, she is considered one of the saviors of the world.

Xanthe Huynh as the narrator

The DokiWatch comic is a fun, stylistic side story that deepens fan connection to the characters and shows the versatility of the Overwatch universe. It adds a fresh and imaginative twist to the Overwatch 2 lore by combining core heroes with a magical, alternate-universe storyline.
