The anthem for Wild Rift Icons 2022 is here: Never Stop Me, and it’s a banger.

Riot is known for releasing an epic music video ahead of every edition of the League of Legends World Championships. Wild Rift fans were wondering if this would happen with the Icons Global Championship as well – and Riot has answered today by releasing the official song for the competition, Never Stop Me ft. Tkay Maidza

Wild Rift Icons 2022 will take place from June 14 to July 9 to crown the first-ever world championship for the mobile MOBA title. Twenty-four teams from around the world have qualified for the event, which has a total prize pool of $2 million. It is happening at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Center in Singapore.

The music video for Never Stop Me can be seen on the official League of Legends: Wild Rift YouTube channel. The three minutes and 17 seconds video shows players chasing a ball of energy which later morphs into the Wild Rift Icons trophy. It also features champions like Vi, Yasuo, and Lucian.

Never Stop Me has been written by American musician BloodPop and Zimbabwean-Australian singer Tkay Maidza. The vocals have also been performed by Tkay Maidza. You can listen to the song on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and YouTube Music.

The release of Never Stop Me opens up expectations to see an opening ceremony in the Wild Rift Icons Finals, just like in the League of Legends World Championships.

New track sees a positive reaction from the community

Never Stop Me’s animations are top-notch and display the efforts Riot has put into the song and its video. The community reaction to the first-ever official Wild Rift Icons song has also been wholly positive. 

The YouTube comments for the music video have also been praising the song. One user wrote that they don’t even play Wild Rift but can’t imagine people not sharing this “masterpiece.”

Another user praised the inclusivity displayed by Riot while a third said that the game will surely get “many new players” because of the song. 

Wild Rift Icons 2022: The first world champion is set to be crowned

The Wild Rift Icons 2022 will begin with the play-ins stage from June 14 to 18. Here, 16 teams will compete for eight spots in the Group Stage. 

The Group Stage will happen between June 21st to 25th. The eight qualified teams from the play-ins will meet the eight regional champions from Wild Rift esports events around the world. Only eight teams from here will make it to the Knockout Stage.

The last phase in the Wild Rift Icons 2022 is the knockout stage. Eight of the best teams from around the world will compete in a double-elimination bracket to crown the first-ever Wild Rift world champion.

The winner will also walk away with a whopping $640,000 of the $2 million prize pool, per Liquipedia. The entire tournament will be broadcasted live on the Wild Rift esports YouTube and Twitch channels.
