The Wild Rift Pride Event is giving players a chance to unlock icons and emotes by completing some simple missions.

Pride Month is here and League of Legends: Wild Rift is marking the occasion through a new event. Players can enter the Wild Rift Pride Event and complete missions to unlock Pride-themed icons, a homeguard trail, and emotes.

Wild Rift Pride Event is here

The event will be live in Wild Rift from June 1 to 21. The home guard trail, however, which can be unlocked through the event will be available throughout the Pride month – which is until July 1. Players can navigate to the events tab in the game to find the event.

How to unlock the rewards?

Players have to complete very simple objectives in the Wild Rift Pride Event to unlock the rewards. These are:

  • We Win Together Mission: Play one game
  • United We Play Mission: Play 10 games with either a Pride icon or the home guard trail equipped

To complete the second mission, players will have to equip one of the things they unlocked through the We Win Together Rewards. It’s to be noted that Rainbow Lane homeguard trail is not a permanent addition and will be removed from the game on July 1.

Riot is bringing Pride Events across all its games

Just like past years, Riot Games is bringing the Pride Event to all of its titles. Similar to the Wild Rift, players can unlock new icons, trails, player cards, and more by completing missions.

“We want all players to feel their identities are represented. No matter where you live, who you are, or who you love, we want to make sure you can see yourselves while you play.

Riot Games said in a blog post

"We want all players to feel their identities are represented. No matter where you live, who you are, or who you love, we want to make sure you can see yourselves while you play. Our champions and agents have their own identities which are representative of our globally diverse playerbase," said Riot Games in their blog.

Riot asked fans to keep their “eyes out for celebration” in esports leagues and regional broadcasts this month. With Wild Rift’s first world championship, the Global Championship Icons 2022 taking place from June 14 to July 9 in Singapore, players can expect a pride celebration at the event.

Icons was initially to take place in Madrid, Spain. But the event will now happen in Singapore due to visa complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Twenty-four teams from around the world will be competing for a share of the $2 million and the title of inaugural world champions.
