Welcome to the fifth day of The First Stand 2025. Check out the live updates, highlights, and more of the TL vs HLE match here.

Team Liquid (TL) is not in their best phase, accounting for two losses and one victory in The First Stand 2025. To make everything worse, they will be facing the undefeatable team, Hanwha Life (HLE), and one of the favorite teams to win the tournament. Their elimination will not only be in their hands since their placement will also depend on the CFO vs TES game. TL vs HLE will begin right after that game.

You can watch the event on the official LoL Esports channel on YouTube or Twitch, as always. If you want to be eligible to win some drops, you need to watch the event via lolesports.com. You can always choose to watch the event via your favorite remote co-streamers and listen to their insights.

Team Liquid is facing a challenging opponent before the semifinals. After two losses and one victory, their chances against Hanwha Life aren't looking favorable. However, the LTA representatives are determined not to back down easily and promise to deliver entertaining games and exciting plays.

Game 1

HLE picked what might be considered the funniest draft of all time. In less than a minute, Peanut met an unfortunate fate in the river, leading to an unusual start for the game. HLE is experimenting with compositions in their final match following the semifinals of The First Stand 2025. However, Peanut was determined to invade UmTi’s jungle, which could complicate his gameplay.

Team Liquid was overall winning the map, showcasing great plays across various lanes. This game felt like a solo queue match with so many unconventional picks!

Even with an uncommon draft, HLE just recovered all the game control with a fed-up Kayle with almost more 4k gold than K'Sante. HLE was fighting everything, they were having so much fun in this game. And in less than 30 minutes, they destroyed Team Liquid. Zeus' Kayle was just unbelievably good.

UmTi began the game with a classic move, invading Peanut's jungle to steal the red buff from the Baron pit, which made Peanut's early game quite challenging. Team Liquid opted for a lane swap in the initial minutes of the match. First blood was secured by APA after a well-executed pick by UmTi on Peanut once again. Zeka also died in the meantime.

The game was looking good for Team Liquid. HLE was having a hard time finding good picks to change the rhythm of the game. APA was playing really well as Cassiopeia, making a huge impact on TL's plays. Even with an apparent advantage, the gold was very close. However, Team Liquid was showing a very different performance compared to the first game. They were playing so much better.

Zeus Quinn was experiencing a lot of pain, and Team Liquid needed a strong fight to win the game. HLE had a significant gold advantage and excellent map presence. In a Baron fight, HLE proved to be stronger, even with Team Liquid benefiting from a Mountain Soul. Team Liquid lacked the coordination necessary to make the most of this team fight. However, in the next engage, Team Liquid outplayed HLE and regained some confidence. The outcome of the game would ultimately be decided in the Elder fight.

Team Liquid's patience was crucial in winning the second game, allowing them to take the last match of the day to a third game. What a remarkable bounce-back from Team Liquid!

Game 3

Team Liquid was focused on securing a victory against HLE. APA managed to get the first kill, but HLE was putting in significant effort to achieve a kill in the top lane. Both teams were determined to claim the win. The gold advantage remained tight, and the teams were nearly even in terms of kills, which made the mid-game very competitive. However, Team Liquid's side lanes were not in a good state, something they needed to fix as soon as possible.

In an intense matchup, Zeka secured a quadra kill as Kassadin, effectively shattering Team Liquid's chances of winning against HLE. The team struggled with coordination, and Impact was eliminated from the fight too early. As a result, Team Liquid found themselves unable to counter the Skarner ultimate. HLE proceeds to do Athakan and destroy the rest of the game. Team Liquid was losing everywhere on the map.

Hanwha Life was just more effective in this game. For the NA fans, this was the last hope to be in the tournament, but there was nothing more Team Liquid could do to change the outcome of these series. On March 15, you can keep watching the tournament as it enters the semifinal phase. The grand finals of The First Stand 2025 will happen on Sunday, March 16.
