BLG x PSG: An eastern battle

Bilibili Gaming had a great start winning against MAD Lions KOI, a team that is no longer in the competition. However, the next two matches were tough for BLG, losing against two giants: LNG and T1. Now it's their opportunity to win and go further in the championship. Will this Chinese giant be able to qualify for the Knockout Stage?

PSG Talon has been making quite an appearance in the LoL Worlds 2024. Besides the loss against Hanwha Life Gaming and FlyQuest, PSG Talon won against MAD Lions KOI and is very close to the Knockout Stage. They are not the favorites against Bilibili Gaming, but they still have a chance to change that. Will the Vietnamese team win or go home today? Who's going to win this eastern battle?

LoL Worlds 2024 BLG vs PSG: Match recaps

Welcome to the LoL Worlds 2024 match recaps. Here you can find the key moments of every match between BLG and PSG Talon. Come back here when the games are over.

Match 1

The odds were in favor of BLG. Will PSG change that? XUN was back on the BLG team to once again showcase the power of Chinese LoL.

On a great gank in bot-lane, JunJia killed ON and achieved first blood for PSG. The Vietnamese team wanted to prove their value as a team, keeping the game controlled on their side.

BLG was not playing well. PSG took a double kill for Betty, and with a bad pick on BLG’s jungle, BLG was able to give a triple kill for Elk’s Miss Fortune. The advantage of PSG Talon was starting to migrate for a balanced match with BLG's great picks.

Until 20 minutes in, the game was pretty calm, with little fights or confrontations. The teams were focused on farming and pushing lanes. In the Drake fight, PSG Talon was absolutely dominant. Betty’s damage was unbelievable. They even tried to take Baron, and they did! BLG was losing every fight.

PSG was playing amazingly well with so much aggression and confidence. Betty was doing so much damage that BLG wasn't able to fight back.

How did BLG manage the fight? A great pick gave them the space they needed, and the comeback was looking more real. BLG was able to win the fights and even secure Baron, forcing PSG to rethink their strategy.

On their way to Drake's Soul, Bin did miracles with a teleport from behind and ended the game with a huge comeback from BLG.

Match 2

The BLG’s draft was very powerful. In terms of strategy, BLG aimed for a peel game with fewer confrontations, while PSG focused on scaling. However, with an amazing hook from ON, the first kill went to Knight's Jayce. Within two minutes, they chased Maple all the way to their base. Meanwhile, Jayce to secured a double kill.

This was not looking good for PSG. Maple misstepped and fell into the trap set by Sejuani and Jayce. BLG was stomping the game, and PSG struggled to find a way out. It was a tough game for PSG. In a Harold fight, PSG had the chance to kill the Harold and even get two kills. One of those was Jayce with a huge bounty. PSG was starting to make the game better for them with great picks in mid-lane and Drake.

And once again, with a huge teleport from behind, "Giga" Bin carried this game. BLG kept going with a 6,000+ gold advantage and PSG was losing every lane. Bin was winning a 1v3, the Jax was unbelievable. Bin was simply too good. It was absolute cinema — the power of Chinese LoL.

PSG Talon lost and was eliminated from Worlds. Thank you for your outstanding performance!
