Everything you need to know about the upcoming League of Legends patch 13.3.

Despite the bombardment of cyber attacks to kick off the year, it seems the League of Legends patch schedule remains untouched. While there is every opportunity these plans can be altered, right now there is no indication from Riot that the show will not go on as scheduled.

League of Legends players can now see their sights on February 8. This will be the release of patch 13.3 and with it comes a lot of changes to the bottom lane. As with every patch, Lead Designer for League of Legends Matthew "Phroxzon" Leung-Harrison has released early patch notes for LoL 13.3.

In what has been a chaotic start to the season for the bottom lane, patch 13.3 seems to be calming things down drastically. Ranged 'supports' have been dominating the bottom lane both in casual play and in competitive. From the introductions of Ashe with Imperial Mandate to Twitch and Jhin support being played professionally, Riot certainly has had its hands full this patch.

Thankfully those who have had their LP lost due to Jhin support, can rest peacefully. Patch 13.3 will see heavy buffs to the following champions:

  • Alistar
  • Braum
  • Nautilus

Thankfully for support players, the buffs to the more traditional support champions should make laning against the poke a lot easier to manage with health increases across the board.

Pro players started getting creative

With Heimerdinger being one of the strongest supports about, many professional players began experimenting with champions in the bottom lane that could counter him.

It's not just ADC's that have made their way to the lane. 100 Thieves support Alan "Busio" Cwalina pulled out Azir in his debut game in the LCS. While his team did not pick up the victory, it is evident why ranged champions such as ADC's have become more and more frequent. The Azir, along with another poke ADC in Varus was able to shove the Heimerdinger out of lane with ease.
