League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer 2024 has concluded its nine weeks of an intense regular season, announcing the six teams that will compete in the playoffs. This tournament will also determine the second LCK representative for Worlds 2024, joining the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) 2024 champions, GEN.

The list of teams advancing from the LCK Summer 2024 is nearly identical to the Spring Split, with two notable changes — FOX has qualified this season in place of KDF, and HLE has secured the direct advancement to Round 2, a privilege held by T1 last season.

GEN players successfully maintain their dominating performance, losing only one match during the regular season to KT. With their consistent top-tier performance over the past few seasons, GEN is the favorite to win the tournament and to secure their fifth consecutive LCK title.

On the other hand, T1 players, the reigning Worlds 2023 and Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024 champions, seem to be struggling this season, dropping two positions from last season's standings. As one of the most anticipated teams for Worlds 2024, T1 is under immense pressure, which has allegedly contributed to Faker's recent distress.

Unfortunately, NS, KDF, and BRO remain at the bottom of the standings, leading to another early exit this season.

*As the regular season winner, GEN obtains the privilege of choosing their opponent from the Round 1 winners. GEN chose DK.

The winner of the LCK Summer 2024 Playoffs will secure the second LCK spot at Worlds 2024, while the third and fourth representatives will be determined through the LCK Regional Finals 2024 event.
