FURIA JoJo thanks fans for their support and calls for more attention on Brazilian talent after MSI 2025 elimination by GAM Esports.

FURIA fell to GAM Esports in a hard-fought 2–3 series, but Gabriel "JoJo" Dzelme de Oliveira remains optimistic about the team’s future on the international stage. The young support believes FURIA still has plenty of talent to showcase and hopes fans will continue to support them in upcoming events, including the Esports World Cup, which kicks off next month.

FURIA’s JoJo spoke with esports.gg about the series against GAM, his hopes for Worlds 2025, and the international support the team has received.

What do you think could have been different in this game against GAM Esports?

JoJo: I think our mentality... We lacked the discipline to recognize that we were good in the game, and we were winning with a lead in the early game. We should have kept that instead of forcing nonsense plays. I would change that.

"Which was your biggest challenge facing GAM Esports?"

JoJo: I think their discipline was the biggest difference. They were a well-disciplined team today, we didn't follow as good our plans, we were kind of confused, we fought a lot during the game, and they were way focused than us.

"How was the communication during the last match?"

JoJo: We were fighting about some things, one person wanted to do that, the other wanted to do something else, and then things started to get chaotic. I believe that didn't do well for us. Not only in the last match, but it happened in other matches as well.

"The first match against G2 was disputed, you even took it to a fifth game. What were your expectations for this match against GAM Esports?"

JoJo: We thought we could win. We knew it would not be easy, but we were very confident that we could win. Eventually, we would play against G2 Esports again and get our revenge.

Aiming for the LoL Worlds 2025

"After all, how do you describe FURIA's presence at the MSI 2025?"

JoJo: I think it was a good moment, we learned a lot in the little time we had here, and that will help us become a better team for future tournaments, either for the EWC or the LTA. We hope to be present at LoL Worlds 2025, which is something we really want.

"If FURIA qualifies for the LoL Worlds 2025, which teams or players would you like to play against?"

JoJo: There are so many people I wanted to play against. But I wish I had won yesterday to play against BLG, but unfortunately, it did not happen. Maybe in a future opportunity.

"That means that you think that BLG will win today!"

JoJo: Yes, I think BLG will win against G2 3-1. Maybe even a 3-0, but I'm not aiming for that.

"We saw many FURIA players using that nose strap. Is there any specific reason for that?"

JoJo: I don't think so, it was just something they tested and said that it was better for breathing. I even tested today, but I said it didn't change a thing; it's a placebo effect. Then I took it out.

"I asked the same question to Guigo. Do you think that Tatu's hairstyle gave you bad luck?"

JoJo: For sure. It was exactly that. I'm almost sure that it was the reason.

FURIA JoJo: "I want to apologize for not going further in the competition."

"I don't know if you are aware of the huge international support you've been getting on X, especially after your series against G2 Esports. How do you feel about this fan support?"

JoJo: I didn't get to see much online, but from what I've heard, it was something super cool, something that I honestly didn't expect to happen. I think we were not getting as much support from the Brazilian community, but after our game against G2, seeing that the international community was cheering for us, was something so good. I think they will keep hyping us, and I hope people start paying more attention to our team and our region.

"Do you already have some expectations for the Esports World Cup?"

JoJo: For now, I'm thinking about getting some rest and having some days off. However, I think that what we have done here, with what we were able to learn here, we will do a better performance there. I can also be wrong because it will be hard to train in that period. After all, the Brazilian teams will be at the Bootcamp. But I'm confident that we will do a better job there.

"Which message do you want to leave to your big Brazilian community that has been supporting you through this MSI?"

JoJo: First of all, I want to apologize for not going further in the competition. We had the total capacity to achieve it, as everyone could see. I hope that people keep supporting FURIA and cheering for us, especially the FURIA fans. We are going to do better next time, no doubt. We are a team that does not give up, so keep following and cheering for us because that makes all the difference.
