Ryze is set to join Wild Rift in the upcoming patch, with none other than Faker himself introducing the champion and his strengths.

Ryze has been teased for a while as one of the possible characters coming to League of Legends: Wild Rift. And now, in the best way possible, he was confirmed. Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, one of the best Ryze players out there, made the announcement himself and even explained the combos you need to know. Let's go through Ryze's addition to the game.

Ryze x Faker

On March 29, the Wild Rift official page shared a post with Faker and a dark and magical figure appearing in the shadows. Everyone knew: Ryze was finally coming to Wild Rift. But what was Faker doing in a Wild Rift promotion since he never had connections to the game? Well, they invited him to talk about Ryze, his abilities, and how important he is in his career as a League of Legends pro-player.

According to the LoL World champion, Ryze is a very special champion for him since he was one of the first champions he played and granted him various victories on his path. He also remembered how important it was to be represented in the Rise official music video for LoL Worlds 2018 as Ryze.

Ryze strengths

As Faker explained, Ryze is very effective for kiting and positioning, besides having lots of strengths when it comes to macro play. Ryze is a mid-laner, but he can also make plains in the Baron lane. His ultimate, Realm Warp, allows him to move with his team, creating game-changing plays.

"If you want to master Ryze, keep an eye on the map and practice your rotation timing", Faker advised. I think there is no better person to advise you about Ryze, so consider that.

Basic combo

Faker also explained the basic combo to take the best out of Ryze's potential. Spell Flux, Rune Prison to root the target, unload your damage, and when the time is right, lead your team, find a crazy ultimate angle, and outplay your opponents. Ryze is a champion that can dominate the game if you use him right.

High potential for scaling

Ryze is also very strong when the game takes longer to end. He scales very well, and his AOE damage can tear apart the very fabric of reality. His Real Warp will cause the cooldowns of Ryze's basic abilities to refresh and buff allies' move speed after teleporting. Check out a little bit of his gameplay in League of Legends: Wild Rift.

When is Ryze coming to the game?

Ryze will be added after the 6.1 patch note drops. We will keep you updated on all the new things coming to the Rift in the next patch. Ryze will be available on April 17 alongside the two new characters: Nocturne and Zilean. This is how he looks in-game.
