Here’s a full breakdown of the Arcane Season 2 trailer that confirms Sevika’s return.
Riot Games has released a new trailer for Arcane Season 2 showing Sevika, Silco's right-hand woman, returning to the storyline.
Riot Games has released a new trailer, showcasing a one-and-a-half minute-long section of the upcoming Arcane Season 2 that will release in November after the World Championships of League of Legends. In the trailer, fans get sneak peek at some of the happenings in the new season. Most notably among what is revealed in the trailer is the return of Sevika for Arcane Season 2.
Arcane Season 2 Trailer confirms fan-favourite antagonist's return
The trailer begins with a distraught Jinx sprinting through what appears to be the streets of Zaun. At the start of the clip, she's in the middle of an emotional breakdown, crying and sobbing as she runs down an alley carrying a large parcel wrapped in cloth. As she reaches the end of the alleyway, she's clotheslined by a thug wielding two Chemtech prosthetic arms. When Jinx is struck, she falls backwards and drops her package, which falls out of frame.
Jinx tries to retort by grabbing her Hextech pistol, but it's knocked out of her grip and a second thug arrives from behind to outnumber her. The thugs shove her against a wall, before their leader makes themselves known. From behind the two thugs arrives a cat-like grey creature sporting a top hat with goggles and Chemtech prosthetics. For lore fans, the creature somewhat resembles a Yordle, but it's unclear what species it actually is. Eagle-eyed Arcane fans may find that this character is familiar: and you're right, you've seen him before! This creature is one of the Chembarons, the corrupt crime family heads and oligarchs that unofficially rule over Zaun.
Chembarons turn on Jinx after Silco's death
"Baby Blue! Right through their fingers, you must be part eel!" taunts the Chembaron to Jinx. This lets us know that Jinx has likely just escaped Piltovan law enforcement, or the object she's carrying was stolen from Piltover. The most likely explanation is that Piltover has put a bounty on Jinx's head for her attack on the council, and the Chembarons want to cash in on it. They're unlikely to be mad that a fellow Chembaron died, leaving a power vacuum for them to occupy, but the Chembaron seems shocked when Jinx confesses to Silco's murder. Either they don't know Silco is dead yet, or they didn't realize Jinx was the one to kill him.
"They want you alive", says the Chembaron as his prosthetic legs telescope and his Chemtech hand unfolds to reveal an enormous needle protruding from one fingertip. "Never thought I'd catch you blubbering. Wonder if Silco saw that?" It asks, tauntingly.

"Twice," responds Jinx, "when he met me, and when I killed him." The Chembaron recoils in shock and anger, seemingly unsure of what to make of Jinx's confession of killing Silco, her second adoptive father. He steps away and one of the thugs winds back a Chemtech-fueled punch to Jinx's face. As he pulls his arm back, a gunshot sounds and his hat is knocked off of his head. A figuring holding Jinx's missing pistol, aiming at the Chembaron and his enforcers. emerges from the steam and mist of the alleyway. Brace yourselves, Arcane fans: It's none other than Sevika, one of the antagonists from the first season.
Sevika arms the hammer on the pistol, ready for another shot, and gives a signature chilly staredown before the trailer slam cuts to the Arcane Season 2 title screen and the trailer ends.
Arcane Season 2 Trailer Analysis
There are several core pieces of information we can infer from the trailer, if you want lengthier explanations, check out our video breakdown:
- Jinx is on the run, and now no longer has the protection of Silco. Silco was heavily implied to be one of the Zaunite Chembarons.
- She's transporting something through the city in cloth and ribbon. Two distinct possibilities stand out: Silco's body or her guns Fishbones and Pow-Pow. If this scene is more far-removed this scene is from the ending of Season 1, it's almost certainly her guns.
- At least one Chembaron is after Jinx, and not for themselves. Instead, somebody else is looking for Jinx. Given the other Season 2 trailers, it's a safe assumption Piltover has a bounty on her head.
- Sevika is alive and well enough. She appears to become an unlikely ally for Jinx, honouring Silco's devotion to his adoptive daughter by protecting her after he's gone.
- The Chembarons seem to know Silco is dead, as they refer to him in conditional past tense. However, they don't appear to know that Jinx was the one to kill him until this scene.
That's everything we can pull from the Arcane Season 2 "Enemy of My Enemy" trailer. We'll get full context when the show releases in early November, after the World Championships of League of Legends concludes its Grand Finals. Even professional players want more Arcane in their lives.
