There’s plenty of death in Arcane due to the show’s violent setting.
Riot Games' TV show Arcane is as violent as it is beautiful, meaning character deaths are always a possibility.
More than 25 characters already died in Arcane throughout Season 1, and who knows who else will die once Season 2 debuts in November. One thing is for sure, though — death count is bound to rise after Jinx fired a missile at the Piltover Council.
While some deaths weren't impactful in Arcane, the show already said goodbye to some influential characters. Take a trip down memory lane and join us as we remember all the major characters who died in Arcane.
Arcane deaths: Vi and Powder's parents
- Cause of death: Killed by a Piltover Police Department enforcer.
- Season, act, and episode: Their deaths show up in Season 1, Act 1, Episode 1: Welcome to the Playground via a flashback, but there's no way to know when they died.
Claggor and Mylo
Like Vi and Powder, Vander also adopted Claggor and Mylo. Unfortunately, an accident caused their death at the beginning of Season 1 and heavily impacted the relationship of Vi and Powder.
- Cause of death: Claggor and Mylo both died as a result of an explosion caused by Powder's bomb. The explosion mortally wounded Claggor's head. Mylo, on the other hand, died because he was crushed by rubble.

Grayson
Before her death, Grayson was the Sheriff of the Piltover Police Department. Grayson most notably made a deal with Vander in which she kept the enforcers away from his business as long as Vander kept his people out of Piltover's streets.
- Cause of death: Brutally killed by Deckard, who was under the effect of Silco's powerful drug Shimmer.

Deckard
Deckard was a thug from the streets of Zaun who Silco recruited. Deckard was also the first human to drink Shimmer, which changed his appearance and buffed his strength.
- Cause of death: Vander snapped Deckard's neck while under the effect of Shimmer, avenging the deaths of Grayson and his friend Benzo.
- Season, act, episode: Season 1, Act 1, Episode 3: The Base Violence Necessary for Change.
Vander
Vander, the man who adopted Vi, Powder, Claggor, and Mylo, helped to keep things peaceful in Zaun while he was alive. However, Silco's plans changed everything.
- Cause of death: Silco stabbed Vander and severely wounded him. However, Vander resisted and drank Shimmer to save Vi from the hands of Silco. He died after jumping with Vi from the Shimmer factory. At the end of Season 1, the scientist Singed takes Vander's body to his laboratory to do some experiments, and fans theorize that Vander is the human form of Warwick.

Marcus
Marcus was a powerful ally to Silco throughout Arcane Season 1. He allowed Silco's shipments to go through the Hexgate and ignored all the wrongdoing. Marcus also showed his hate towards Zaunites multiple times.
- Cause of death: Mortally wounded by an explosion caused by Jinx.
- Season, act, episode: Season 1, Act 3, Episode 7: The Boy Savior.
Silco
Silco was the main villain throughout Arcane Season 1. Prior to what happened in Arcane, however, he had an alliance with Vander as the two dreamed of freeing Zaun from Piltover. They had a falling out and Vander nearly killed Silco, which changed the appearance of Silco's left eye. Silco escaped from Vander, and years later, ruled Zaun thanks to his Shimmer business.
- Cause of Death: Silco died of a gun wound caused by Jinx.
- Season, act, episode: Season 1, Act 3, Episode 9: The Monster You Created.
