The 2025 Asia Invitational Tournament will take place in October, featuring LCK, LPL, and LCP teams that did not qualify for Worlds.

The final regional league concludes on Oct. 4 while Worlds doesn’t begin until Oct. 14. During this window, as League of Legends fans eagerly await the biggest tournament of the year, a new event will take place. The 2025 Asia Invitational Tournament will feature non-qualified teams from the major Asian leagues.

2025 Asia Invitational Tournament

The 2025 Asia Invitation Tournament will be happening between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12, just before the LoL Worlds Play-Ins start. It will feature teams from the League of Legends Pro League (LPL), League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK), and League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP).

This smaller tournament will feature teams that did not qualify for the biggest event of the year. Eight teams will participate: three from the LCK, three from the LPL, and two from the LCP.

Liquipedia currently lists FEARX, NS RedForce, GAM Esports, and Vikings Esports as potential invitees. From the LCK, the tournament will likely include the loser of the T1 versus Dplus KIA match, which decides the league’s final Worlds qualifier. In the LPL, EDward Gaming and Ninjas in Pyjamas are strong contenders, as both finished in 7th–8th place. GAM and Vikings Esports are expected to represent the LCP.

What do we know about the tournament?

The 2025 Asia Invitational Tournament will start with a best-of-three (Bo3) group stage, followed by a double-elimination playoff, culminating in a best-of-five (Bo5) grand final. Teams will compete for a total prize pool of ¥1,500,000 (approximately $210,841) spread among the teams, with all matches broadcast live on Huya, Douyu, and Bilibili.

The event’s location has not been officially confirmed, but it will likely take place online, as the broadcast platforms have already been announced. No details have been shared regarding an English broadcast. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
