What's new in version 2.0?
- New Realm "Penacony" and Storyline: The 2.0 update adds the new realm "Penacony," featuring new main Trailblazer missions, maps, storylines, and companions. Penacony is an interstellar hotel that was formerly a frontier prison. The storyline set in Penacony introduces players to The Family, followers of Xipe, the Aeon of The Harmony. This storyline will begin in version 2.0 and conclude in version 2.3 according to the developer.
- New Characters: The 2.0 update introduces two new 5-star characters; Sparkle and Black Swan, along with 4-star character Misha.
- New mechanics: The Dreamscape Pass which allows players to collect stickers, and Clockie's Offering where players exchange Clockie Credits for rewards. Clockie is the mascot of Penacony.
- New boss: Stellaron Hunter Sam will be a new Elite Enemy coming sometime in version 2.0. Little else is currently known about them.

- Hanu’s Prison Break: A key Honkai Star Rail 2.0 event featuring puzzles, minigames, and a stealth mission where you transform into Hanu. Rewards include Self-Modeling Resin and a 4-star selector.
- Dreamchaser Bulletin: Fight enemies for rewards like Stellar Jade and EXP Books in this straightforward mission-based event with fixed rewards.
- Dreamjolt TV: Battle event with mutators altering core mechanics, similar to the recent Virtual Scentventure event, offering Stellar Jades and Tracks of Destiny.
- The Penacony Food Fest: Collect materials to cook dishes for rewards. Expect consumale items and Stellar Jades as rewards!
- Gift of Odyssey: Daily check-in awarding up to ten Honkai Star Rail Warps, standard but hey who doesn't love free Warps?
