Hearthstone has just released the 25.4 Patch Notes in anticipation of the Return to Naxxramas miniset. Hearthstone's upcoming content update will go live tomorrow, so join us while we review the 25.4 patch notes.

Return to Naxxramas Hearthstone Miniset

As always, the miniset is the star of each mid-expansion Hearthstone update, but there is much more in the 25.4 patch notes. By now, we already know the 38 new cards we are getting with the Return to Naxxramas Hearthstone miniset. If you have missed any reveals, feel free to check out our article with every card coming to the game tomorrow.

Players can buy the Return to Naxxramas Miniset inside the game or in the Hearthstone shop using Gold or money / Runestones. Beware that the first thing the shop offers is the Golden version from the miniset, but you can change the top left tab to see the regular version.

Battlegrounds updates with 25.4 Hearthstone Patch Notes

Battlegrounds has already got its big content update a month ago. However, the 25.4 Hearthstone patch notes bring a new Hero themed around the death-themed expansion.

Teron Gorefiend will join Battlegrounds with the 25.4 Hearthstone update and the patch notes mention that the Hero will be guaranteed in every lobby for two weeks starting tomorrow.

An interesting clarification we've seen regarding Hearthstone Battlegrounds Heroes in the 25.4 patch notes is that some will not be offered given some minion-type conditions. After the initial guaranteed period: "Teron Gorefiend will not be offered in any lobbies in which neither Undead nor Beasts are in that game’s minion pool."

Other Heroes will have similar limitations as well, starting with Hearthstone 25.4 patch:

"Drek’Thar, Greybough, N’Zoth, Onyxia, The Jailer, and Vanndar will now only be offered in games where at least one of Beasts, Demons, Mechs, or Undead are in the minion pool."

Arena rotation & new Leaderboard

The 25.4 patch notes also announce the next Hearthstone Arena rotation. With this rotation, Hearthstone will retire all ongoing runs. Take note, you can get a free Admission Ticket and Arena rewards with this if you leave a run with 2 losses before the 25.4 Hearthstone patch hits.

These will be the sets available for Arena starting tomorrow:

  • Core
  • Forged in the Barrens
  • United in Stormwind
  • Fractured in Alterac Valley
  • Voyage to the Sunken City
  • Murder at Castle Nathria
  • March of the Lich King (including Return to Naxxramas)
  • Path of Arthas

Furthermore, Arena players received another pleasant news in the 25.4 Hearthstone patch notes. Arena Leaderboards will now update automatically throughout the season, just like any other mode. The standings will be calculated "based on a modified average wins per Arena run throughout an entire Arena season (minimum 30 runs)"

Hearthstone 25.4 patch notes extra content

Hearthstone collectors will be happy about the arrival of three new Diamond cards. Players will need to unlock these cosmetics via Achievements.

"Reno Jackson, Patches the Pirate, and Zola the Gorgon now have shiny new Diamond versions"

Talking about cosmetics, there is also a new series coming to Hearthstone announced in the 25.4 patch notes. Corgi Cup Cosmetics, a set of Hearthstone skins and BG emotes will be added to the game starting in the 25.4 patch.

Nicholas "Decktech" Weiss explained the origin of these new emotes inspired by an invented sport after Cora's pet.

Last but not least, we have the Mercenaries' final update. The 25.4 Hearthstone patch notes introduce the Mythic Boss Rush end game, plus some other features to the game mode, such as faction banners and dual-type characters. We have already covered most of this in our previous Mercenaries sunset article, so feel free to check out that piece for more details.

That's all for this 25.4 Hearthstone patch notes, but there's a lot more content for you to check out in our Hearthstone section. Finally, be sure to visit Esports.gg for all the latest esports news. See you next time in Naxxramas.
