The new Hearthstone Rewards Track brings packs, a ton of gold, collectable cards, and more cosmetics than ever before. What you get, and how to get it, in this article.
With every new expansion, Hearthstone offers us a new Rewards Track. We have already covered all the new things the 22.0 Patch brings, now is time to talk about the Rewards Track! A huge blunder at first, now a good way for players to earn free resources. What does this new Hearthstone Rewards Track bring us?
Hearthstone’s Fractured in Alterac Valley Rewards Track
Today with the 22.0 Patch, Hearthstone is releasing Alterac’s Valley Rewards Track. Players that complete quests will earn experience to advance in this progression system. This new Rewards Track will replace the previous one but don’t fear, you will automatically get any unclaimed rewards from United in Stormwind’s Rewards Track.
What does the new Rewards Track has for us?
Same as in the last expansion, Hearthstone will have a 400 level Rewards Track. Along the road, you will be able to claim many rewards. Let’s go over them:
- Packs from Fractured in Alterac Valley
- Standard packs
- Tavern Tickets
- A random Epic card
- Two random Legendary cards
- A Vanessa VanCleef Mercenary Card
- Horde and Alliance Card Backs
- Tons of Gold.
- 14 uncraftable Golden cards, including the Legendary minion, Lokholar, the Ice Lord
- If you get to level 200, you get to choose from one of 10 returning Hero Skins
The Battle for Alterac Valley
On top of the Rewards Track, Hearthstone is putting more rewards on the line with the Battle for Alterac Valley. As we mentioned in the 22.0 Patch notes, when the new expansion goes live, you can accumulate Honor by playing and winning games. You can gain Honor in Constructed, Arena, and Duels games. The more Honor you gain, the higher you will get in your faction ranks, progressing through a Legendary Quest chain representing the epic Horde vs Alliance battle. Make sure you check the full Questline and rewards in the official announcement.
Don’t be afraid to lose the opposing faction rewards, both Hearthstone quest chains have the same rewards along the track, just in a different order. When the Battle for the Valley of Alterac ends, presumably on January 11th (do I hear a miniset leaked date already?), the faction with more Honor will be declared the winner. The ultimate reward is a Diamon version of the Faction leader legendary card, for everyone, no mattering who they fought for. Talking about Diamond cards…

Following Hearthstone’s tradition, with the new Rewards Track, players will also be able to get Diamond Cards. The first one, Korrak the Bloodrager, will be available for the player who buys the Hearthstone Tavern Pass. The second one, Balinda Stonehearth, is not behind a pay-wall, or at least not a hard one. Players who collect 25 Fractured in Alterac Valley Legendary cards will earn Balinda in their collection.
Last but not least, there is another cosmetic for players to chase: The new cosmetic Faction Pride coins and the Alterac General coin. Players who complete the first 90 levels of the Hearthstone’s Rewards Track with the Tavern Pass will get the Faction Pride coin. Finally, the Alterac General coin is obtained by collecting 135 unique Fractured in Alterac Valley cards.
