The Hearthstone’s 22.0 Patch arrives on Tuesday bringing new Mercenaries, BG Heroes, and prepare the field for Alterac’s Valley expansion. Everthing you need to know, in this article.
Hearthstone’s 22.0 Patch, corresponding to Fractured in Alterac Valley’s expansion, arrives tomorrow. Fractured in Alterac Valley won’t be live until December 7th, but Hearthstone’s 22.0 Patch brings many features that will be live tomorrow. New Mercenaries Heroes, more Bounties to collect, a new Battlegrounds Hero, and more.
Fractured in Alterac Valley arriving December 7
As we mentioned before, Hearthstone’s latest expansion, Fractured in Alterac Valley, will be live on December 7th, and the 22.0 Patch will prepare the terrain for the epic battle. You can already start theorycrafting your decks, and if you missed any of the 135 new cards, make sure to check our recap!
As soon as the expansion goes live, the Horde and the Alliance will clash in Alterac Valley. From December 7 to January 11, every player will gain Honor for their faction. Players can gain honor by playing and winning matches during the battle. The 22.0 Hearthstone Patch specifies how much Honor you will get:
- 10 Honor for every game played
- 10 Honor for each game won
- 20 Honor for every game won versus an opponent from the enemy faction
That's right, you can collect up to 40 Honor points in a game. The battle for Alterac will take place in Constructed, Arena, and Duels Modes. By the end of the event, the winning faction will be eternalized with a Diamond copy of its leader. Not mattering for which side you fought, you will be receiving the perk. Moreover, as you accumulate Honor, you will capture golden copies of several cards, including a Golden copy of the enemy Faction’s Leader.
New Mercenaries arrive with 22.0 Hearthstone Patch
If you can’t just wait until December 7, the 22.0 Hearthstone Patch also has something for you. Four new Mercenaries will arrive with the 22.0 Hearthstone Patch, and three of them will be playable from Tuesday. Battlegrounds Updates
Finally, Diablo is defeated. After a longer raid than what was originally expected, Diablo will leave Hearthstone Battlegrounds with the 22.0 Patch. Despite this terrible loss -NOT-, my informants in Stormwind tell me that a secret agent is already prepared to fill in the spot.
Scabbs Cutterbutter will enter Hearthstone Battlegrounds with patch 22.0. He learned some tricks while in the IV:7 spy school, and now he is ready to apply them in Battlegrounds. For the fair price of 2 Gold, Scabbs will let you Discover a plain copy of a minion from your next opponent’s warband. Information and economy, a powerful combination.
Talking about the economy. Bob’s tavern has been thriving lately. That is why has asked for some commissions to lighten up the place. Battlegrounds Boards, an all-new cosmetic option for Hearthstone Battlegrounds, will be available with the 22.0 Patch.
The first board available will be Arena of Champions, Bob’s way of celebrating his favorite and best tipping customer: you! As soon as the 22.0 patch hits, check the Hearthstone shop to purchase it and show it off to your opponents.
This is all for now, I need to prepare for Battle. Alterac’s Valley is quiet -too quiet-. but not for long. If you are still thirsty for information, you can check the official patch notes. Stay tuned to Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news, and remember: never fall back!
