Hearthstone celebrated the upcoming Voyage to the Sunken City expansion with theorycrafting livestreams and giveaways on April 7.

Various members of the Hearthstone community, including Wild players, went live on Twitch to create new decks and experiment with Voyage to the Sunken City cards. Many of these channels featured Mega Bundle giveaways for the new expansion ahead of the April 12 launch date.

Naga Minion Type and Murloc Shenanigans

Kripparrian was one of the theorycrafting participants, hosting an all-day livestream that included decks with the new Naga minion type. Meanwhile Brandon Cole also encountered some Murlocs of his own, including the new Sir Finley, Sea Guide and the returning Sir Finley Mrrgglton.

Voyage to the Sunken City Goes Wild

Of course, since Hearthstone invited Wild players to the Voyage to the Sunken City event, Zeddy joined in on the theorycrafting action. One of the decks he played included new and old Murloc minions that synergized well with each other. He called it “Murloc Warlock.”

As the day went by, even more Hearthstone players joined the deep-sea battles and experimented with the Dredge and Colossal keywords. Players such as Orange, Dragonriderdk, Thijs, RegisKillbin, Feno, TrumpSC and WoWHobbs duked it out against others on their respective Twitch channels.

Hearthstone Giveaways and Twitch Drops Galore

The Hearthstone category on Twitch was unending as invited Hearthstone players tested out their new decks while community members at large dueled against others and enabled Twitch Drops.

As part of the Voyage to the Sunken City celebration, viewers who tuned in for the card games were able to earn up to two card packs. To earn the first Voyage to the Sunken City card pack, all they had to do was watch two hours of any livestream across the Hearthstone category. The second card pack was earned via watching two more hours of content.

That’s all for the theorycrafting event! The new expansion is scheduled to launch on April 12. For more Hearthstone content, stay tuned on Esports.gg for news and updates
