The new March of the Lich King expansion is getting a theorycrafting event that features Hearthstone Twitch drops and more! Read on for details.
March of the Lich King theorycrafting
Kicking off on Dec. 1, Hearthstone content creators will take center stage over on Twitch. They will take part in March of the Lich King theorycraft livestreams in both Standard and Wild.
The rules for those participating under the Standard format will be the following:
- Standard players: At least 10 or more March of the Lich King cards in each deck. This can be 10 unique cards, 5 duplicates or anything in between.
Here are the requirements that Wild players will follow:
- Wild players: At least 1 Legendary and at least 5 additional March of the Lich King cards in each deck. This amounts to a total of 6 or more new cards in each deck.
To catch all action, simply tune in between Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. Invited content creators will stream on their own channels. Below are the dates and times for the different regions:
- Japan Standard players: Dec. 1, 1 a.m. PST to 7 a.m. PST
- Europe and Americas Standard players: Dec. 1, 9 a.m. PST to 3 p.m. PST or 3 p.m. PST to 9 p.m. PST
- Other APAC Standard players: Dec. 2, 1 a.m. PST to 7 a.m. PST
- Wild players (all regions): Dec. 1, 3 p.m. PST to 9 p.m. PST

Free Hearthstone Twitch drops
From Dec. 1 at 9 a.m. PST to Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. PST, viewers will have the opportunity to earn Hearthstone Twitch drops.
To get a free March of the Lich King card pack, simply watch a couple of hours of gameplay on a participating channel under Twitch's Hearthstone category. To get another free card pack from the new expansion, watch another couple of hours. Take note that these card packs cannot be opened until the March of the Lich King release date of Dec. 6.
Make sure to link up your Twitch and Battle.net accounts to participate in these drops as well. Doing so is easy. Just head over to your "Connections" page on Battle.net and click the "Connect" button located next to the Twitch section. Follow the simple prompts to link your accounts.

"In addition to category-wide Twitch Drops, players participating in the theorycrafting event have been given Pre-Purchase Mega Bundle codes to give away to their respective audiences during the theorycrafting event," Blizzard noted in an announcement.
