Battlegrounds Lobby Legends #5 Qualifiers
While we are still waiting for an official name for the fifth Battlegrounds Lobby Legends event, what we do know is the names of the players aiming to grab a spot in the finals. These were 48 players from the Americas, European and Asia Pacific servers who competed in this BG:LL #5 Qualifiers.
The event had the same format as the previous editions. HS Esports divided the 48 players into six lobbies. Each lobby would play three games, and after that, the Top 4 point earners would advance to the second instance. There, the 24 remaining players once again divided into 3 separate lobbies accumulated points along three games, with the Top 4 of each Lobby making it to the Final Event.
With many content creators competing, fans could catch part of the action following them streaming their PoV. One community went further beyond and prepared special presentations for their favorite player. The RDUltras did a great job at spicing up the event with this video.

Qualifier Results for Battlegrounds: Lobby Legends #5
After the six games in two stages, only 12 players were standing in Bob’s Tavern. Some of them, like AlexJP, Ribapusa, SeseiSei, Xixo and XQN are returnees from previous editions. This is the full list:
- Americas: SleepyHS and Torisan
- Europe: Fritterus, Xixo and XQN
- APAC: AlexJP, aliciasan, PenguinSan, Ribapusa, rimgosu, SeseiSei and tesura
The Asia-Pacific scene seems to be dominating the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Lobby Legends events. On the other hand, unfortunately for the RDUltras, the Romanian player didn’t make the cut due to tie-breakers. What’s Next?
The Hearthstone Battlegrounds Lobby Legends #5 finals will take place on September 3rd and 4th. The 12 players we mentioned will be joined by 4 Chinese representatives to complete the 16 final participants. The event will have official and community broadcasts. Furthermore, competing players are allowed to stream their PoV.
But that’s not all. If we have learned something from the HS Esports calendar, we should all expect a big major patch before the event. While we don’t know for sure when it will come, Abar gave us a “soft confirmation” about when that patch should hit:
This means that the new Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season should come sometime before September. Furthermore, since the new season will come with an MMR reset, that moment will be the cut-off for the Battlegrounds Lobby Legends #7 event.
Will we see Grease Bot return to the game? Will the Kooky Chemist’s interactions be fixed by then? Maybe we will we witness the returns of Buddies? Only time will answer these questions.
For now, stay tuned to Esports.gg for more Hearthstone news and updates. See you next time in Bob’s Tavern.
