Buckle up, it’s almost time to make history again.
It’s almost time to make history again as Atlus’ forgotten child, Persona 4, seems to be returning as Persona 4 remake.
Rumors have been swirling about a potential reimagining of P4 ever since Persona 3 Reload launched in early 2024. However, they picked up substantially in 2025, what with Persona 4’s vocalist, Shihoka Hirata, posting a picture of herself in a recording studio where most Persona soundtracks were composed.
Now, a more prominent report has all but confirmed that the Persona 4 remake is real. This new information comes from notable Persona content creator Faz, who took to X to share about a new domain registry called p4re.jp.
It may not seem much of its own, but Faz corroborated this new info by adding that a p3re.jp was also registered two years ago, which, three months later, turned out to be Persona 3 Reload.
While this isn’t an official confirmation by any means, it does suggest that a Persona 4 remake is on the horizon and will contain the letters “re” in its title (Persona 4 Rewind, anyone?).

When will the Persona 4 Remake be revealed?
If Faz’s report is anything to go by, Persona 4 Remake should be revealed in June 2025.
For those unaware, Persona 3 Reload was officially unveiled at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2022, which takes place every year in June. Since Xbox had marketing rights for P3 Reload and Metaphor ReFantazio, it makes perfect sense for the P4 remake to follow suit.
Alternatively, the Persona 4 remake could be revealed a lot sooner at the upcoming Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025. Fans are no strangers to rumors about the Switch 2 ports of Metaphor ReFantazio and Persona 3 Reload.
Now, Atlus has a chance to pull off a trifecta reveal at the Switch 2 Direct showcase. It’s all speculation on our behalf, so it’s best to take this info with a grain of salt. Persona 4 is one of the most celebrated entries in this franchise, but it’s also riddled with controversies, and remaking it might not be as simple as P3 Reload.
Hopefully, you won’t have to wait much longer to learn more about this potential P4 remake.
