FlyQuest reveals Project Grassroots

On March 19, FlyQuest CEO Brian Anderson announced Project Grassroots, a new initiative aimed at supporting teams and individuals who want to compete but lack the financial resources to do so. The program reflects FlyQuest’s broader mission to “fix esports”. Their goal is to help aspiring players and organizations thrive by providing meaningful support.

According to the CEO, the organization will fund new programs later this year and in 2027. There will also be roster and program announcements to be revealed soon. The CEO also encouraged the community to reach out and bring attention to teams in need. The community can help identify teams that could benefit from FlyQuest’s support through the initiative.

“If you are a Tier 2 esports program that needs help getting to the next LAN tournament or you’ll want to find a sponsor to help you make your esports dreams a reality, tell your fans, mention us in the comments,” Anderson added. “We’ll be on the lookout for different programs and opportunities to expand into.” For the CEO, Tier 2 is the future of esports.

In the video, Anderson shared limited details, so we’ll have to see how FlyQuest plans to tackle one of the key challenges in esports. Sustainability has long been a known issue in the scene. Many teams have left esports due to a lack of financial support. If you’re interested, you can follow the organization on social media to stay updated on future announcements.
