Balatro x Pokémon? Count us in.

Balatro is a roguelike card game that took the world by storm when it was released earlier this year. Since then, their list of collaborations has grown to include some major titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Stardew Valley, and more. Now, Balatro has teased partnering up with video game giant, Pokémon, in a new collaboration through Makeship. More details below.

Everything you need to know about the Balatro Pokémon Collaboration

Balatro has teased a collaboration with Pokémon in a Nov. 5 post to X with the text reading, "Who's that Pokemon???" The post also has an image of what appears to be a Balatro Joker that turned into a Pokémon. With the text "Coming Soon" at the top of the post, our best guess is that the details of this collaboration will arrive soon.

This collaboration also comes via Makeship, a brand that has made several themed plushies in the past with other gaming and entertainment franchises. So, you can safely bet that this crossover will come in the form of a Pokémon blended with the Balatro Joker mascot. Who knows — perhaps a Mr. Mime Balatro Joker plushie?

This isn't Balatro's first time doing a crossover

Since Balatro has launched on mobile, a huge move for the game, the crossovers with large IPs have been rolling in. This has included some of the following major titles in gaming and entertainment:

  • The Witcher 3
  • Among Us Friends of Jimbo update
  • Dave the Diver
  • Vampire Survivors
  • Cyperpunk 2077
  • Stardew Valley

And now, Pokémon joins that list. Once we have more details on what this collaboration will be, we will update here with the latest.
