Blitz Royale just got an extension in Fortnite and various themed weeks. Are you prepared for the fast-paced adventure?

The popular Blitz Royale mode just got an extension in Fortnite, which has excited fans and mobile players all over the world. Better yet, the popular game mode is getting various themed weeks, which will include a Mortal Kombat week and more.

Blitz Royale in Fortnite to extend till August

If you have been keeping up with Fortnite lately, then you will know that Blitz Royale is one of the biggest things in the game right now. This new game mode, designed primarily for mobile players, is a fast-paced version of the Battle Royale, with games only lasting around five minutes.

This lets players jump into a game on their mobile device when they have a few minutes to spare. Normal Fortnite matches are closer to 30 minutes, so this is a great change of pace for those who have just a few minutes to kill.

And with its success, the new game mode has been extended until August 12, 2025. We could also see Blitz Royale added to the game permanently, but that will depend on how well the numbers hold up during the next few months.

Blitz Royale to get various themed weeks, including a Mortal Kombat week and more

Blitz Royale in Fortnite is not stopping at giving fans an excessive amount of content. The currently popular game mode is also planning on adding various themed weeks over the next month. These themed weeks include a Dragon Ball week, a Jujutsu Kaisen week and a Mortal Kombat week.

These weeks will feature different items and powers that were previously available when the collaborations were first introduced into the game. It would also make sense if Fortnite had the skins from each collaboration back in the Item Shop during each themed week.

Which week of Blitz Royale are you most looking forward to?
